As much as I like them, they really do get boring after a while as, with there only been five, it is likely that you end up with the same one on more than 1 day during the week. Rather coincidentally, it was only yesterday that I mentioned that 3832 was allocated to my scholars 3 times last week with 3814 and 3822 making up the other 2 days. 6128 was the Monday PM vehicle as opposed to 3822, though so there was a bit of variety there. |

The one you'll need to look out for now is the 819 service! Scheduled to be a Plaxton President bodied Dennis Trident, this board will cover the PM X78 service as well as the 17:05 #45 service from Newcastle to Consett, in addition to the St Bedes 819 scholars service. I think this is the journey DaveyBowyer identified as being an anomaly, when he went through the timetable a few weeks ago. It is to my knowledge the only journey on the Red Kite group of services, excluding the Sunday morning 47 service which runs via Clasper Village and is operated by Riverside, which is scheduled to be a 'wrong brand' (or at least a vehicle which isn't to the usual specification of the "Red Kite" branded vehicles). |

The 52 reg solars (namely 4991) need a deep clean, I didn't enjoy being on it for that reason.

If you want something different, you could always ask Go North East to swap the 5 Olympian's with Vyking's. :p |

(17 Apr 2016, 10:14 am)Michael wrote Surprised a few other corporate buses haven't moved around, seems GNE have worked the transfers out well. There was no need for corporate liveried vehicles to transfer between depots, if I'm honest. There's been like for like replacements at every depots, in accordance with the services which have been gained and lost. I couldn't understand the discussion regarding 5248/49 at Percy Main transferring to other depots when they're still required at Percy Main for service 9. As nice as it would be to have a consistent allocation across all journeys on service 9 regardless of which depot is operating it, the reason why Deptford allocate double-deck vehicles is because they interwork with scholars which require double-decks. There would be a higher cost associated with running these scholars standalone in order to allow a single-deck allocation on service 9. There are a number of transfers still pending out of those that I have mentioned. Most transfers took place between 20:00 and 01:00 last night, but a number of buses were VOR and unable to transfer.

Might definitely decrease the chances of the Solo/MPD being allocated to the Northern services at Peak Times. Really feel bad for firing all these questions at you. It's the last thing you need on a Sunday morning haha! |

I mentioned when the Streetlites entered they would be replaced with Scanias and that's when they'd transfer to Washington/Riverside or Stanley. What's on the 47 today to replace 6121? Anything odd as I was hoping to have a ride on the 45 or 46 and 47 today. |

I think it was because of that Tom, it was said that after the Streetlites enter service, that some of the Scania's would move to Percy Main to replace the duel door B10's, along with 5248, 5249 moving else where as they wouldn't be needed at Percy Main. Of course, nothing is confirmed and was just talk.

Saltmeadows Road will probably give them a bit of an internal spruce up when they're repainted, similar to the East Lancs Vyking bodied Volvo B7TLs... I think Andreos1 reported a Prince Bishops Scania L94 with various poles and backs of seats being the wrong colour a few weeks back, and this bus was promptly sent to Saltmeadows Road for a bit of TLC. |

I planned to stop after the question regarding the 6 evening allocation but then when the St Bede's scholars were mentioned, I had to find out if the 825 was planned to get anything else rather than an Olympian. Such a shame that nothing is changing any time soon ![]() |
