Connect Tees Valley are as bad. Worse in fact, as the changes sometimes go on after they've come in!
RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes
(21 Apr 2016, 5:17 am)Dan wrote I wouldn't say it's a disgrace at all - Go North East's service changes in the area come in two weeks prior, and these have yet to be announced too.

It actually causes quite a great deal of customer confusion when service changes are announced too early, as people seem to think the commencement date of these changes is now, as opposed to two months time. I'd suggest that four weeks notice is completely sufficient - this allows people to review the timetables and make alternative travel arrangements if this is necessary.

Don't agree at all. The more notice the better if you need to make alternative arrangements.

....... what a bloody clart on, not happy at all, if it happens although i could walk to Grindon Lane for the bus... which part will it serve... the Grindon Mill part of Grindon Lane or The current part of Grindon lane leading on to Somerset road.

Why can't they just keep the same routes although i have said previously, they need to change the 18 and 19 badly... but not this like this! Tongue

So basically Barnes park will have no 18/19 or the 99 from 22nd May and 5th June............... all which are important links to the Hylton Retail Park (outskirts for the 18/19 but still).

I'm still confused at these new 18/19 routes though...

Appreciate it's not right outside of Barnes Park, but the bus stop for service 36 is only a few minutes walk away from the park. This is why Go North East lists Barnes Park as a via point on service 33's destination displays.

35 around the world before it gets anywhere near it and the 36 which will via Silksworth to the town, makes no difference to those near the park or further up, means they have to walk and change bus tickets!

They could get the 5 then change in the city but what a clart on!

Not sure if there is, but we haven't had changes to services like since the 2/3 and 15/16 merged!

Be weird seeing all these changes....

Gleneagles road left up Grindon Lane to Chester road and right onto pennywell road.

No demand for buses between the barnes and pallion, if they was it would have a service but 1 or 2 passengers an hour can't justify a service.

Well, its about time the road leading up to the Grindon Mill got a service again, they haven't had a service on that part of the route since the 15 went, Its an extra couples minutes from my stop to Gleneagles road - doesn't bother me, as long as its not lashing down!.

I'm surprised the 18 and 19 are still half hourly, most of the day they're empty!

That's the problem, no demand for services like that apart from ENCTS passenger's.

No demand from there really if it was an area that could at least cover it's costs it would have a service, private estates do not make good bus teritory.

So if there's no demand, then why are they putting the 18/19 that way up Grindon Lane?

Well that's going to totally confuse passengers on 3 if one terminates at gilley law when people want to go to farringdon. Utter joke
Just have it number 2 and number 3
Or 3 and 3A

No! MDs don't deal with this kind of stuff anyway, they just need the profit margins to add up, if they don't they dictate to others who come up with ways to make them add up.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Upcoming Service Changes
If all the routes in Sunderland are changing wouldn't it be a good idea to renumber them
1 2 3 4 5 6 etc so passengers will acknowledge changes easier and need to review timetables.

Quickest route to pallion.

Not many people use the 3 past North Moor that's why it's dropping to every 20 minutes from there to Farringdon. Most to Farringdon will use the 4 that is coming off Durham Road and back through Farringdon so they have a faster option now.

I'm surprised the 4 is going back to Farringdon thought it always did well through Durham rd and east Herrington.
If 3 is every 20 mins it will be packed as gilley law can get a crowd with the flats. So 3 to Farringdon continues 10 mins.
Is 12 Doxford park to town end farm

Info is getting changed every day, wasn't it said the last few days or last week that the 12 was going and it would be the 13.

I'm going to be honest i'm really confused at these changes now, can you make a list of the changes, so its easier haha.
