Latest update is that 10578/9 are SN16 OTS/U, and 10580 should be 'OTV. This differs somewhat from reports elsewhere. Further information on allocations - although this is from a single "external" source - is that they will be 31 for Ashton; 12 for Stockport and 10 for Hyde Road, numbered in that order.

Outside AD Falkirk this evening were London-red liveried E400MMC SN16OHR, with blinds for route 23 and corporate liveried E400MMC SN16OTY, which according to the list above is destined for Manchester.

EDIT: I must confess to not noticing if the red E400MMC had stagecoach logos or not - I just assumed from the registration that it was stagecoach, given others in the batch. However, i think route 23 is Tower Transit in London, so treat with caution.

I think there is some confusion over the registrations for Manchester's latest batch - over and above a late change in plans regarding the allocations! 10578/9/80 are SN16 OTS/U/V, not as listed above. Additionally, that list would mean 'OTY being 10584. However, at virtually the same time as this sighting of the bus still at the factory, "10584" was reported in service on the Wilmslow Road corridor.

My initial information on allocations came from a very reliable source within Stagecoach Manchester, albeit he did not mention which order the buses would be allocated. More recent information which (give or take the odd one or two buses) is supposed to have come from an internal publicaton called "The Loop" which quotes 31 buses for AZ; 9 for HE and finally 13 for ST. Thiere has been absolutely no mention locally about 20 buses being for the 38 (currently run with 17 buses), but if so, it will have the pro-franchise lobby rubbing their hands with glee at such an "own goal".

The only examples to see service so far are 10578/80/2, and 10580 has already been taken out of service. 10579 was at Ashton - presumably for VF - but has now been brought to Hyde Road for preperation. Notwithstanding, various events and where buses will be allocated to, I would very much doubt more than about 8 buses will be in service by the end of next week, so anyone wanting to see the first 20, never mind the full batch, should hold off for a few weeks.

Two E200MMC bodied buses in Chester Park & Ride livery tonight outside AD Falkirk, registered SN16OPF/OPH.

10578 on 330 service (Ashton depot) today (1st June).

There have been one or two of the green hybrids around on this service for a while, but none at all today.
