Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2

Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2

RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2
Any idea when GNE will put the 13/496,33/33A and the 168 timetables on their site?, as they take them over next Sunday!

I know we've had this debate before but i still think GNE should mention that they won't be running the W1/W1A, W2 and the W3 from next week either.

Then again... still haven't bothered to update the site from the previous changes, hopefully its done after next Sundays changes....

So its now August and not one of the new contracted services is on the GNE site.................W1/W1A/W3 has been removed from the timetable list BUT haven't been removed from the NEXUS tab.

I don't see what the big issue is with these Nexus timetables, other than enthusiasts and a hand full of the general public will know Go North East run these services on behalf of Nexus. The majority of people wanting to look at a nexus route would first check the Nexus site, id have thought in my opinion. I very much doubt it will be in the Nexus tender that GNE have to display the timetable for the route, so cant see why GNE go to the extent of putting the timetables on their website as it is not their service.

I think some people will tend to refer to the Go North East website for Nexus timetables (possibly for services they don't even run) as some will know GNE run the services as they accept Key cards or whatever whereas other operators don't. Some people probably just see the Nexus livery as just another GNE branding/livery.

Tickets etc, so passengers know that GNE tickets won't be vaild on the W services, instead of them getting on and not being able to use their passes or even buy a GNE ticket.

GNE should advertise they're running the likes of the 168 to encourge people to buy a GNE pass...

The timetables for the Nexus operated services do not state what tickets are/are not accepted so for that, the timetables are pretty useless. Most people would see the GNE bus and assume they can buy the full range of GNE tickets anyway.

The 638 is the only service you need back in your lives.

Knocked spots off them all.
RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2
There is an upcoming diversion affecting services V7 and 704.

The B6532 (Wear Road) is going to be closed for 4 days from 15th August while they resurface the road. I imagine the diversion to the V7 will be normal route around East Stanley and then along Avon Road and up Tyne Road like the 16 does. The only sensible way for the 704 to be diverted is by sending it down Tyne Road to Hollyhill Gardens, cutting across onto Durham Road then back along Avon Road and Tyne Road as usual.

Nothing about the 704 though - I will ask about it later (but even then, im not totally motivated as i wont be using the service).
RE: Go North East: Upcoming Service Changes v2
Not upcoming, as it's been and gone. Noticed road closure signs and on the Washington Highway today - relating to closures today.
Guessing the X1 ended up on a diversion. Anyone know which route it took?

The A167 will be closed between Plawsworth and Chester Moor from 22:00 to 06:00 for two nights starting 16 August 2016. I can't see anything on simplygo.com but I would expect these works will affect late evening and early morning 21's.
