How about Stanley's native Renown? That's a pretty good one even if it's one of the older V reg.

Also will a Red DD eclipse always be part of the Sunday 10/10A/10B allocation due to the 69B?

The 69B should not affect the 10 series of services as there is only one early morning each way 69B journey using a Ten branded B9 on a Sunday.

The indiGo 'coming soon' leaflets are on Washington buses now, if anybody is after one for collections or what not.

I didnt think they'd use a TEN B9 on 69B, only ever seen Red B7s, thanks.

4896 will remain in the fleet at Stanley until 5292 returns to service at Stanley.

How many DDA compliant B10BLes were there since December / January just gone and how many have been withdrawn?

I would expect that 5292 will be needed for the duration of the trial, as it's evidence. So don't expect to see it back before March 6th, at the earliest.

..and will also need to go through annual PSV test when it returns to Go North East (which takes about a week including PSV prep).

Never noticed the difference between Cadets and Merits.

Is there some reason why the X21 currently heading towards Bishop Auckland and the X21 that's about to leave Durham Bus Station for Newcastle having started at Bishop Auckland have entered and left Durham via Nevilles Cross rather than following the normal Sunday route?
BusLoverMum   29 Aug 2016, 6:43 pm

Probably something to do with the gas main works.

That is the reason, the lack of a right turn at Leazes Bowl - route has been changed whilst the work goes on.

All those remaining in service after 31 December last were converted to DDA - these are currently being withdrawn, with around 8 due to be withdrawn this week.

If there is a difference then it will certainly be a minor one - i have never been able to pick one out anyway (always assumed VDL is DAF since they carried on with the DB- and SB- models.

Internally, the Merits have an extra single forward facing near the bay for pushchairs. Other than that and the different seating moquette (except S1 branded one), I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

There isn't any difference between a Merit and a Cadet, Bar maybe a different seating layout which is to the buyers spec.

As all DAF Bus ( Now VDL ) products were sold through the Arriva Bus and Coach dealership, Some precedings went to the said operators pockets, Which some bus company's didn't want.

All Merits were sold by Volvo, These will have been bought by them from Arriva and sold to the operators without any of there moneys reaching a rivals pockets.

GNEs Merits despite being 04 reg, Are actually on DAF chassis as they were built around late 2002 ( Woudnt be surprised if they were built in sinc with GNEs 52 reg Cadets.
Any Cadet/Merit built after late 2003 was built by VDL, As they acquired the Buissness around the same time, And feature there watermark.
A good example will be the recently withdrawn 04/54 reg Cadets, Which had VDL chassis plates.

I agree with you that 4912 is horrible, 4914 was much better. Sounds like a B7 now which is never a good sign...
