The route isn't listed along with the other PCL Travel routes on the Nexus website, although there is a little article on the Northumberland CC website.

Most of PCL Travel's routes aren't on Nexus' website.

Bus Times have them all on though.

RE: PCL Travel
This is probably just rumour.... But I heard from someone the other day that PCL Travel are in the process of getting 2 Newer single deck vehicles to add to their service run fleet, not sure if this means they will get rid of any or whether it will be in addition too.

Not sure how accurate the info is, hence why I have just said rumour, but the person who told me knows the owner of PCL quite well.

Something I have noticed recently is some routes have been allocated a white Ford Transit minibus, saw one parked in Hexham last Tuesday with a card showing service 613 in the window.

Even then, the S1 doesn't show the Whitehouse Farm extension. And with Nexus now doing the timetables for Northumberland, all PCL routes do now appear on the Nexus website, except the S1, for whatever reason. Operators such as Perryman's, Glen Valley and Travelsure are now listed too.

It was on the Hexham - Whittonstall service yesterday. Did not even pull into the stand at Hexham bus station. Stopped on the other side of the road outside the estate agents.

The vehicle was purchased from Hillary, Prudhoe. They used it on contracts for special schools I believe.

That, or another Ford Transit was on the 613 last time I visited Hexham, on another recent visit the 885 stopped opposite the bus station rather than in it as shown here: https://flic.kr/p/HMvEJQ

LG02FFP was covering for the other Dart on the S1 today.

PCL travel now have a website http://www.pcltravel.net/.

Check out the photo of the PCL branded Mercedes bendy bus. Anyone know anything about this vehicle?

It's a photo of a Go North East bendy bus which has been photoshopped into their livery by somebody. Saw another photoshop of their Rural Link livery on a Olympian or something like that on Flickr.

I was looking on their website last night on my phone and it is awful to use on a mobile and there seems to be some errors on it, such as it saying that the 79 only runs Wednesday's when it actually runs on Saturday's as well.

Irritatingly the few bits of info I could find says it doesn't but according to the EXIF data on this photo: https://flic.kr/p/Lt8kVW it shows the Volvo B6 running the service on Saturday just gone.

I think I saw a VOSA registration a while back for a Saturday 79.

Also their timetables seemingly keep changing at less than a minutes notice and when it happens you can't find the updated timetable for love nor money, S1 changed recently, Lord knows in what way as there is no online timetable anywhere to find out.

I'm just thinking it would be an interesting journey trying to get a bendy bus up the country lane to Colwell! Even more so over the moors from Otterburn down into Bellingham!

The 79 is a joke and I don't quite understand the circumstances as to why it is how it is. The S1 has been okay the two times I've used it although the Volvo B6BLE/Wright Crusader sounds rough and is pretty slow on the A1. I disagree with the use of Ford Transit's though, especially as they aren't exactly noticeable that they are operating a public bus service.

Going to hazard a guess that the Primo will do the 15/16 although I dread to think what will be used when the Primo is off?
