Hope a friend of mine on another forum doesn't mind me posting this, apparently VLW28 & another Gemini 1 are to be allocated to St Helen's Depot for Schools, the most important bit of information is that Jackson Street have been told that they can be used on public service inbetween School duties if a shortage of available vehicle arises and also they've been given permission that they can go on 10/10As as well.

Apparently VLW28 should be ready in about 2 weeks time and is apparently getting the inside done at the moment with new floors and ceiling panels

Yesterday Birkenheads Volvo Royal 16235 S659 FWY made it out on the 471/472 Liverpool - Heswall Services, Very rare do these make it out in service these days but on a Quality Bus Partnership route! think that will be the rarest sighting from that Depot for a long time!

Another rare sighting is Birkenheads Volvo Renown 21123 doing the last 1 Service from Chester to Liverpool! These Buses are ment for School use only but are used when short.

Another ex CMT/Stagecoach Merseyside Wright Liberator entered service with JPT yesterday a their 433, this was running round yesterday with hymm numbers in the windscreen as unfortunately due to a shortage of vehicles it was rushed out into service.

Another addition to the fleet is a Caetano Nimbus Dennis Dart, not sure of the reg unfortunately

Hired in Enviro 200 was out yesterday on 17 shorts between Middleton-Manchester Shudehill

Also East Lancs Dart S3JPT is back on the road after receiving a new gearbox and new engine and apparently is quite a pocket rocket

Apparently the 2 Plaxton SLF Darts that I reported on recently are away at the moment being converted to single door and extra seats fitted

Also according to one of my contacts at JPT she told me that a few more vehicles are on their way to JPT shortly but she doesn't know what they are yet, as and when I find out I will let you know
