Whats going on at Int'l Stadium I had high hopes for them when you went to Wembley, thought they would be our newest representatives in the League...Way things are going, we will beat you back and you will have Spenny Town as rivals

Tactically abysmal - Aspin is clueless, to tactically stubborn.

No team is going to be successful by just launching the ball forward to a striker with the same height as me!

Both Shelvey and Dummett have had the red cards issued in the game at Forest on Friday, rescinded.

Mackems have been going wild over Andre Marriner again. Steve Martin was atrocious.

Worst referee I've seen in a long time. Couldn't remember one major decision he got right I know it's hard for them but come on when I was watching it I could see clearly that the decisions were wrong.

I think it was nufc.com that put him in the same category as Trelford Mills and Brian Coddington (can't remember Mills games, but there was one in the early 80's that he is renowned for. Coddington was Derby away in 91-92 season off memory).
Apparently the weekend before the Forest game, Martin had been overseeing a Conference game and although I can't ever remember him specifically, the officials at that level aren't known for being the best.

Hopefully he gets a nice weekend off and a fine for his troubles

Sunderland once again amazing for what they are doing for Bradley Lowery, along with Chelsea on the night, he was mascot last night, got to train with the players, got to score a goal again Chelsea's goalkeeper Begović, got a signed Chelsea shirt/photo with them, was at the training ground the other day.

Can't forget all the other teams who are supporting him from Everton to Newcastle, to around the world along with people around the world, who are sending him cards/parcels.

Amazing, i'm not the one for crying but i felt it after watching the video.

I've followed Simon Kuper for a while now, with this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ajax-Dutch-War-...1409136477) - "Ajax, The Dutch, The War: Football in Europe During the Second World War" a favourite.

However, he has just wrote an article and tied his interest in football geekery and the war, in with modern day politics.

It's spreading through the leagues as well, Gateshead are doing a minutes appallause for Bradley in their National League game against Braintree Town on Saturday at the International Stadium.

The way things were going, I thought it was going to be three out of Swansea, Sunderland, Palace and Boro.
With Pardew gone and Allardyce his replacement, is this Palace safe?
Going back to Allardyce's 33% success ratio, the other three teams are going to have to go some now.

Yeah we were right all along about Pardew it seems!

And I thought Swansea and Sunderland too but not Boro, Hull I think will go down. Sunderland are let down even more by the fact Moyes has said they can't even afford a loan player... And Bob Bradley is clueless so I would say Swansea and Sunderland are more than certain.

Allardyce should give Palace a guaranteed 18 points on top of what they have already. Add those to the draws they will pick up and you're talking about the 40 point mark.
Will the other teams currently in and around the relegation zone hit that? Can't see it myself like.

I dont think Swansea should have sacked Monk. The rot had set in already, but what they have had since isn't any better than him.

Nah I think the bottom 3 now will be the same at the end of the season.

Not local football but world.

FIFA council agrees to expand World Cup to 48 countries from 2026

Looks like it will be set up like...

The tournament will open with a group stage consisting of 16 groups of 3 teams, with the top 2 teams progressing from each group to a knockout tournament starting with a round of 32 teams.

The number of games played overall will increase from 64 to 80, but the number of games played by finalists remains at 7, the same as with 32 teams, except that one group match will be replaced by a knockout match.

Very poor decision. Was shocked to see this considering how they stuck with Nigel Pearson 2 years ago when they were in a worse league position. Also dont know where they will go from here. Cant see who would be a good replacement and even if they found one, it says a lot about the players that they can play under a new manager but not one who won them the league title. Really says a lot about modern football that a manager who has achieved the impossible can be sacked less than a season later.

Can't agree more. I think Mancini is in the running but not sure how well he would do?

Of all the possible replacements, he is probably one of the best although it is difficult to see what kind of impact he could have at this stage of the season with the current squad.

Just 5 months in to his second spell at Derby.

The statement from the board is slamming.

Haha just seen it to be fair they were 21st or something when he took over.

Seems to be the chairman who is the problem though

The chairman does seem to have a habit of hiring and firing.

The line in the statement that shocked me the most was: 'significant, unexpected and persistant decline in results, team unity and moral'.

By my reckoning 4 more dropped is enough to relegate Sunderland for the first time in 10 years [Image: f52524fd461f10c02a13f29e23883e2e.jpg]

In other news Darlington are not allowed to take part in the Vanarama North Play-Offs due to Blackwell Meadows not having 500 seats under cover.

Blyth are back in Vanarama North and could be joined by Spennymoor, who play Stourbridge at Brewery Field tomorrow in the NPL Play-Off Final aiming for back to back promotions, York could also be joining Vanarama North if they are relegated, with Harrogate Town going pro this summer, it will be a difficult league for Darlo next season, as Martin Gray has basically delivered a 'back me or I'll go' ultimatum recently
