RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - January 2017
Given I sort-of forget to go back and include this back in the initial post on the subject - 1457 is of course currently the only Frequenta Pulsar in the generic Stockton branding as a spare for both the 7 and 15 - of course, pending the completion of the Pulsar repaints (1460/88/90/2 all still to be done - 1490 appears to be the one I sighted on Portrack Lane on December 23rd) it is permanently allocated to the 15.

With 14 Pulsars due to be eventually in Frequenta livery at Stockton to cover the 15's PVR of 12, this Generic Brand will likely be applied to at least one further example.

Both of Redcar's repainted Temsas remain as yet unbranded.

7439 is DDA-compliant, and there is hence no reason for it to be withdrawn just yet.

Just passed 7505 running NIS out of Gosforth. Is there a board that runs in service to Newcastle then light back?

7528 doing exactly the same thing. Seems a waste running at least 2 back NIS.

There's probably a few - I know Blyth have some that run light back to Blyth to then do a 2nd run into town.

7625 has returned to Redcar and is on the 62 today. In exchange, Stockton have lost 1475 back to Durham.

Yes, that is what I meant. Blame it on cold fingers

4700 has received Frequenta branding but on the existing livery! And it doesn't mention the 63 even though that's the only Frequenta route in Redcar!

1475 has gone back to Durham from Stockton, which released 7425 to return to Redcar.
7426 is still at Redcar.
This just leaves 1474 at Stockton and 7424 at Durham to be swapped back.

I am amazed that this little bit hasn't been brought up yet - 1480 has been refurbished to MAX standard and was spotted in Jesmond depot on Tuesday. It sounds like the Coast Road will be getting the MAX Factor soon Wink Angel

On a new service or the 306 or 308?

Supposedly the 306 going MAX with Pulsars (and presumably one of the Mini-MAX Geminis will move to Jesmond for the decker board) with the Streetlites moving onto other work.

Ah right cheers guessing it will be renumbered X36 or something then...

Why would the Coast Road go MAX?

The only way I could see a MAX service on the Coast Road would be a 'Pronto' style service to accompany the ever popular 308. However, since the Cobalt Clippers were re-timed to run 2-3 minutes before the 306 / 308 during Mondays to Saturdays, has that has an impact on the 306 / 308?

Makes you wonder who authorises these decisions.  It shouldn't be too hard to remove the cream, but the point stands that it looks ridiculous like this.

Certainly does. And large white fleet numbers on the front and back but small cream ones either side!

How come a Whitby park and ride branded bus is on 52/53. Is it a recent transfer or something? 7489 LJ51OSK was on.

According to a Facebook post, it was at Jesmond for a new engine. Used yesterday on a scholars service due to a vehicle shortage, I assume this vehicle shortage is ongoing.

It's certainly getting about, seen it on 45 and 54s too.
