Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.53.1 for Android and 1.23.1 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
- Updated Apple Watch to display Eggs obtained from PokéStops
- Changed distance tracking to better account for GPS drift
- Minor text fixes.

Big'un hatched a Porygon, the other day. Jammy so and so.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, we couldn’t think of a sweeter time to double the amount of Candy you’ll earn every time you catch, hatch, and transfer Pokémon. Your Buddy Pokémon is also getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit and will find Candy twice as fast!

Throughout the celebration, you’ll notice that Chansey, Clefable, and many other adorable pink Pokémon will be encountered more frequently in the wild. Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum will also be more likely to hatch from Eggs. And to help you paint your town pink this Valentine’s Day, Lure Modules will last for six hours for the entire duration of the event.

This limited-time celebration will only be available from 11:00 A.M. PST on February 8, 2017, to 11:00 A.M. PST on February 15, 2017, so grab your valentine, get out, and explore the world around you!

Big'un caught a second Porygon ar the Arnson Centre, after tea. Best we've had at home is Lickitung *slurp*

At least I'll save myself a week's walking on my Omanyte - I'd committed to 200km on that thing! Catching a few would be nice, too. Looking forward to seeing what tonight's nest changes throw up.

Nice, I've had a Lickitung on the rader but found nothing, i also need a Chansey, hopefully get those this week.

Shame you didn't get to Riverside park, last week. I caught 8 kabuto and there were still load in sightings. Also picked up a kabuto egg for good measure!

Yep, bigun hatched a loaf of 2k eggs, today and got Exeggcute(welcome - he was walking one!) oddish and male nidoran! Te gen 2 theory makes sense to me, since Scyther and Onix will be able to evolve.

What isn't mentioned is that new pokestops have been added. There's now a 4th one in old Eldon Square.

Oh that's good, hopefully more will appear in random places now.

Evolution stones and items have been spotted in the coding too (well it's been said, not sure how true that is), Easter is the rumoured date for gen 2 now... Probables bull.

They need to release the new Pokemon every year so gen 2 this year, Gen 3, 2018 etc...

That's the Gen 2 lot - 100 minus the 6 Legendaries and the already released 8 makes 85.

Wonder how often the starter Pokemon will spawn?

Seen this on Facebook.. Not sure how true it is though.

Hoothoot is a owl Pokemom though so wouldn't suprise me if it only appeared at night.

Farfetch'd (region)
Muk
Chansey
Tangela
Kangaskhan (region)

Gyarados
Ditto
Kabutops
Articuno (legendary)
Zapdos (legendary)
Moltres (legendary)

I really hope they unlock the region locked Pokemon since gen 2 is coming out but i doubt that!

Apart from the one we can't catch, here, I still need Snorlax, Omastar and Dragonite. (I also don't currently have an dragonaire as I transferred my CP20 one to take advantage of the double candy, yesterday, but I could evolve a better one if I wanted to. I have 98 dratini candy and I'm now up to 29 omanyte candy, so I might have these evolutions by the summer. Hoping for a couple of good hatches to speed things along, though the way luck works, I'll make these hatches just after reaching the candy target!

Not bad, i'm sick of hatching Pokemon i don't need too.

I wanted to get my Pokedex done before gen 2 (expect for region Pokemon) but that's unlikely, as it's rumoured to be starting on Saturday.

I still need quite a few. I'll get the region ones through GPS spoof I reckon, but I'd rather complete what I can without that first.

I was hoping with the Gen 2 release they would have a event where we could catch them but that's unlikely, they'll be region locked Pokemon for gen 2 too i would imagine.

Fortunately I was off over Christmas, when the starter Pokemon were spawning everywhere. Managed to evolve a Venusaur, Blastoise and Charizard!

Didn't bother much with the Valentines event, but I managed to get a Chansey in Durham. I have a Tangela too, which I understand is quite rare.

That's good.

Looks like the candies too from a hatch has had an increase.
