Oh right, sorry, i thought you meant services as in the likes of the 11.... this is what happens when you work from 7:30am till 6pm!

The "Taglines" are misleading in my opinion and should be applied to Vehicles which carry the services they are promoting to avoid any confusion or complaints, as I do think if your average Tom, Dick or Harry got on the bus and were of a young age, then first thing they are likely to do is look for those features on board said vehicle aren't they, with 639 above it is promoting Next Stop Announcements to which this vehicle does not have. I do think this would be more appropriate if applied to 5451, at least then the statement being made would be correct. Even if you look at 5324 and the "Tagline" - "Recharge your batteries - Many of our buses have power sockets on board" or 5211 "Stay connected - many of our buses have free wifi on board", again they are applied to Vehicles which don't have these services so again the statement made is meaningless.

There seems to be a vehicle on loan to Crook everyday... lol

Is it? I would say many of Go North East's buses do have WiFi, Next Stop Announcements and power sockets.

And again, the taglines do not say 'This bus has...', therefore they are not advertising the features of that particular bus which, as said in the post that I provided the link to in my last post, is the purpose of the feature blob symbols.

How many buses in the fleet will this livery be applied to? Around 200?

Since the first of the Citaro's have arrived back from Blackburn, where will the Scania's from the X5 end up?


Can they not go to Percy Main for the 19 and spares and Deptford have the Wright Eclipse's for the 61?


That means 4 more Versa's go in the new "Go North East" livery, leave one spare at Deptford and then the other 4 can go to Riverside to replace more Scania's.

5289 back and 5276 away

I really don't see the problem with these tag lines. Are you going to go around getting the millage stats to make sure buses are doing 35 million miles? Suppose we haven't tested out if 633 can go to the moon and back.

I would think with 4961 to 4966 becoming part of the Driver Training Unit at Riverside, then 5204 to 5209 and 5211 will be split between Chester, Deptford, Riverside and Percy Main.

5284, 5285 and 5286 - probably not.
5289 - no, it was only returned this afternoon and has to be branded and other preparation for service to be done.

What modifications will these receive ready for Driver Training, also are they likely to be repainted into a training school livery, I always thought that the current Cadets just looked a bit Temporary, compared to the coaches previously used.

I suppose it depends on how many of the ex-Diamond Citaros end up being back at Stanley. If they're all going elsewhere for other front line service, then I'd be surprised if 5337/38 didn't follow suit too?

I think all of the ex Durham Citaro's and 5337/5338 will end up at Deptford, means the 9 can have a full Citaro allocation + 5284, 5337/38 and one of the See it, Do it Citaro's will be spares for the X5, 9 and 35/36.


I would imagine rest of the Citaro's at Deptford will be down for a refurbishment too although no idea what month they'll head off, as after the Blaydon Racers, it's the Citylink 57 Citaro's which are supposed to be going.

It should be soon, the GNE driver's trial starts on Monday so the whole thing will be brought to a conclusion soon enough.

Something yellow that's probably of greater interest than the taglines being rolled out to Go North East's fleet liveried buses at the moment, is ex-Plymouth Solo 713, which has been repainted into the yellow and red base livery as carried by the "Venture" branded examples at Stanley.
