Not sure if it's a coincidence - 35188 noted heading towards Sunderland a few days ago, on Felling Bypass. Engineer at the wheel.

Could have just been on road test.

Oh yeah, 35188 landed at Shields. Reserve pool quite possibly now. Although odd when Slatyford are short, even odder when they send 36464 across.

Any sign of 27508 having entered service yet?

Nope - the only one yet to see service although at present only 27506/7/9 are actually on the road

Fleet list/news should all be up to date again now - but if anyone spots anything that isn't right or hasn't been captured, give me a shout!

Is 36464 still at Slatyford?

Back at Shields, was just for the day.

They won't openly try and find a buyer, but they are up on disposals if any region fancies any. Wouldn't have thought the Group has offered them for external sale just yet - which would probably mean the likes of Alpha and Wigleys taking a punt at then given their age. The likes of the 54 platers are also in that pot too, possibly all of Stocktons come network changes.

BIB: depends how serve they are. From what I've heard on the grapevine, Stockton are only expected to see a PVR drop of 6 - which would in theory see the MANs off. In reality however, given a disposal example is still in service here (until 27508 enters service or 27510 is sorted in theory), that might not see all of them off.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2017
I would have expected a drop of 6 or 7 given the other depots have all seen cuts in the region of 10% of their output. Will be interesting to see where those will come from

Well, from what I've heard:

13 reduced to Middlesbrough-Salters Lane only - saving of 2 buses
14/34 reduced to half hourly - again saving 2 buses

The other one heard is the 39 reduced to every 15 minutes from the current 9-12 minutes variation. However, I can't see how that saves two buses when it ideally needs more running time rather than less.

Are all of the Volvo B10Ms being withdrawn? I assume the 54-plate MAN ALX300s could be possible replacements?

20552 is also looking a bit worn out. It was definitely due some bodywork repairs and a repaint when I seen it a few weeks ago.

14 I believe, across the two depots. No doubt the spares percentage will also dictate a further bus being withdrawn from each depot so likely that 16 will be the final figure of displaced buses.

Is the coach on the X24 today, if so what time will it next leave Sunderland? (if it remains in service)

Does anyone know what the allocations at Slatyford and Walkergate will be following tomorrow's changes?

54045 will be allocated to service X55 (PVR 1) when the service starts.
