How's the new 18 to gilley law doing?
Had to laugh when i saw it at the top of fawcett st destination gilley law. Who on earth is going to go via Roker and seaburn when u can jump on 3/13.
Is the 18a getting passengers?
The new 12 is a much better route pleased it survived

I'm lead to believe its one of 22574/79 , As they are the only ones in regular service iirc.

Anyways, Last night's accident resulted in 1 Death and a handful of major injuries/trauma, So id presume that the bus involved will now be compounded for the near future, Like Go North East's 5292.

Thoughts go out to the victims family.

I've only used the 18 twice since it changed but both times, no more than 10 people on it.... The new timetable doesn't really work for me.

22574 has been dumped at the back of Slatyford for a couple of weeks now minus a ticket machine and part of its bumper so it wont have been that one. Tbf every time I see the 100 22570/81 seem to be the 2 that are always on!

Indeed - mentioned on the previous page that 22574/80 are currently held in reserve due to being long-term VOR, so would have been one of the other three.

Pretty sure if anyone is out and about tomorrow, we'd be able to work out which one it was, based on which one of the three is missing!

Only ones I've seen today have been ALX300s.

Yeah that's the one. It's in a bad way and probably won't see service again after it's released from being compounded. 

27510 was seen on the back of a blue tow truck yesterday heading south near Wetherby!

Fair to say the E300s brought in for the 100 have been fated . What is the PVR for the 100 now is it 4 ? Suprised Slatyford havent allocated 4 MMC200 to the 100 for the time being

But then what would you allocate to the 30/31/36 in their place? Surely the 100 can justify new buses by now- during the day they are always busy. Would be nice to see an addition to this years orders as I cant see the remaining E300s lasting for a few more years.

Stick 4 ALX300s back on for the time being. Slatyfords allocated busses are turning up on everything they arent meant to anyway lately but i thought the 100 would of been given new busses in with the E200MMC order

I'm starting to think Slatyford are getting sick of there MAN Kinetics/E300's. While the Kinetics are doing a little better ( Not by much though ) Id say it was probably best to just acquire new vehicles for the 100 last year, As now money has now been wasted on Interior Refurb etc, While underneath mechanically there done for.
So has 22579 pretty much been written off?

I thought they were non stop between Gateshead and Chester Road (X24) and Boldon Abingdon Way (X34) they dont stop there according to Nexus.

Either way it seems unnecessary for such a long distance limited stop service to use such an isolated stop unless there was some sort of specific reason why.

You'd be surprised, not sure about the X34/X24, but I've dropped off fairly often at Testos on the X36, and further up before Whitemare Pool. This morning included.

The x24 and X34 do not and have never stopped at Testo roundabout 

the stop is served by x9  x10 X36 35 35a. And soon to be x55  yes there are a few people use the stop it's saves a trek to heworth gatesheas or newcastle for anyone going southbound towards Boro

I believe it's to do with concesionary passes. To separate 'local' and 'national' bus travel, passes are valid only on services which stop at least every 15 miles. By registering Testo's as a stop the X55 comes under this definition of 'local'.

It's the same reason why Transdev's Cityzap has a registered stop at an obscure Little Chef on the A64 and why Stagecoach Cumbria's X8, Catch 22's Red Rocket and Preston Bus's 830 all do/did not accept passes.

Should never of taken 27506-27510 off the 100, they seemed to done good on the 100 over the many years they were on there.

Does anyone know what's happening to those other two former Scotland (new to Wales) Man E300s 22784/87 ?

According to Steven Knight Media on 7th April these were meant to be transferring to the North East.

That's a similar situation but they've chose to break the route at Dalton Park to avoid the use of tachos. From a legal perspective there's two separate X55s - one from Stockton to Dalton Park and one from Dalton Park to Newcastle. Doesn't make a difference from a passenger point of view other than a disclaimer in the timetable and the destination will probably read something along the lines of 'Dalton Park for Newcastle'.

It shows the pointless bureaucracy and need for reform of driving regulations if they can be so easily side-stepped, but I guess there's more pressing matters.

I presume this is the reason why the Arriva x12 always has "Durham for Middlesbrough" on its destination blind?
