(12 May 2017, 9:51 pm)ENEB wrote Well I remember seeing it on Wednesday Morning and then on the Afternoon it was YJ05JWN with the cooling fan on full blast. It was a warm day and I know that YJ55YGL has problems with the heat. So it looks like the pink one has been took back to the depot and then YJ05JWN has been rushed back to Darlington. Well I suppose YJ55YGL is a bit different from the rest of the Cummins solos as an Engineer said that it's original Engine was Slow when it had finished the park+ Ride and was fitted with a Cummins Engine 5.9Litre still but it being from a Bin Lorrie Truck.

Aye the 5.9L ISBe was offered in earlier DAF LF/CF Models, Before being replaced with the 6.7L at Euro 5, They are rated up to 220bhp In the Lorry's.

YJ55YGL Disappeared this afternoon I saw it on Abbey road just sat at the side of the road around 3pm and then never did the rest of its services. Most likely overheating as usual. Any kind of heat and it just cuts out at stops.

New buses usually come with each new contract, so 2019 if that trend is to continue which i think is likely.

Ok, thanks I thought they would be due soon, I think the routes could benefit from something larger like a versa, due to the popularity of the service at times, maybe even taking after first York, with one of there ones having all electric buses or perhaps a hybrid?
RE: Scarlet Band Motors
NX55FFS replaced YJ55YGL on service 16 due to it Overheating and kept Cutting out after Lunch time.

First York aren't all that revolutionary withtheir P&R vehicles. Bendy Citaros on one service (3?) and chuggy, grunty old Eclipses on the 7s we caught on Saturday!

Typical Enviro. They would be better off putting them Enviros on other routes that are shorter as the Cummins solos they have despite being older are much more superior and have much comfier seats.

A few pieces of info regarding disruptions to services 16 & 20 in Darlington from Monday 3rd July.

SERVICE 16
journeys towards North Road and Harrowgate Hill will omit the Four Riggs stop in Bondgate, Darlington, from Monday 3 July 2017 for 2 weeks. This is due to the closure of Larchfield Street and Portland Place for carriageway resurfacing. During this period, passengers should instead use the Outram Street stop in Duke Street, or the town centre stops at Northgate Stop A or Tubwell Row Stop H. All other services will continue to observe the stop at Four Riggs as normal.

SERVICE 20
will not serve Hurworth or Neasham from Monday 3 July 2017, for up to 2 weeks, owing to the closure of Neasham Road for gas mains replacement works. Arriva service 12 will continue to serve Hurworth as normal. Service 20 will instead terminate at Geneva Crescent.
