Pretty much bang on there, the lot should of gone to Stockton in the first place to be fair. Much easier work. At least the two at Walkergate should be more reserve capasity, they'll allocate spare deckers before them heaps. Agree Robin, should of put ALXs back on the road if you ask me. Another year of no luck on the orders sadly.

Any reason why the below changes are taking place?

✤Stagecoach North East
MAN/East Lancs Kinetics 22514 & 22515 are in the process of being transferred from Slatyford to Stockton with MAN/ALX300s 22065 & 22066 moving from Stockton to Slatyford in exchange.
The swap of 22515 in exchange for 22065 took place this morning, and 22065 has already entered service at Slatyford depot.
The swap of 22514 in exchange for 22066 has yet to take place, with both vehicles in service at their normal depots this morning.
Other vehicle exchanges expected in the next few days are MAN/East Lancs Kinetics 22512 & 22513 moving from Slatyford to Walkergate with MAN/ALX300s 22341 & 22342 moving from Walkergate to Slatyford in exchange.

22511 now in service, too, remarkably!

Starting to feel like 2000-2002 all over again.  Wonder if its repeating pattern now based on the gap created back then in terms of vehicles needing replacing in that timeframe.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2018
I dont know how much longer they can rely on 2004 MANs to run the majority of Slatyford routes. We even seen this week the splitting up of 30s allocation of MMCs to spread them about been allocated on the X's all week.

2004 MANs are still in service? I thought all Stagecoach North East buses were from 2006 onwards. The express services have quite a random allocation of everything really. The 30 is usually allocated Enviro 200 MMCs.

22012/13/16/18/19/20/22/24/26/50/51/61-70/80/81/82, 22341-48 and 34605 all still in service from 2004 & 2005.

Strange how a division as big as busways struggles for investment against smaller depots in Scotland as an example. Seem to have a much shorter period before a batch of vehicles is renewed

Thank you. That is a lot of 2004 and 2005 buses still in service.

22080 and 22082 are the ones with the green displays aren't they? The orange destinations are much clearer to read. I like all the Stagecoach buses, excluding the Kinetics. I like the Alexander Dennis E200s most though, which are usually allocated to service 6/7, 8 and 32/32A, but sometimes the X47 and X87/X88 have them allocated. I think services 71, 72 and 87 have the E200s actually. The Economic services are different similar ones I think, but E300s, which I also like.

22012 has a green display too with 22036 I think.

Why have the green displays not been replaced with orange displays?
Why, in fact, is there a mix of green and orange displays?
The old Stagecoach buses with the stripe livery had green displays, then we had orange displays and somehow there are some newer buses with green displays than orange, now we are back to orange again.

Thanks for the information.
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2018
If anyone is heading down to find 22515, it’s still parked in the depot at present - but as there’s still buses leaving until about half 10 this morning, it’s almost likely to appear given where it is presently parked.

The original batch of 21136-21158 all had their green displays replaced with the orange ones. Then whilst at South Shields depot, as these vehicles were gradually withdrawn their orange displays were removed and put into 22021, 22022, 22049, 22050, 22067, 22068, 22069, 22070 and 22071 whilst those vehicles were also at South Shields.

I can't find the details on the Stagecoach website. Why is the Day Rider being withdrawn?

Probables due to "Low usage"

The Day Rider has been around for years. I can't remember when it was introduced.

I don't understand the changes. I guess a Newcastle Day Rider is adequate, so Tyne & Wear Day Rider isn't needed anymore. What counts as Newcastle exactly? I am just a little bit confused.

Yet another fare increase from Stagecoach.

The Tyne and Wear Plus day rider which is being reduced to £4.20 from £5 ks replacing the Tyne and Wear day rider by looks of it. The difference is with the Plus you can travel to Ponteland and Darras Hall, so in effect the rich people living in those areas are getting their fares reduced while the other areas have them increased.

Tyne and Wear day current £4
Tyne and Wear plus current £5

Tyne and Wear Plus 4 week current £61.50

Incidentally the Tyne and Wear Plus 4 week was introduced on the X24 and X34 in place of the standard Tyne and Wear pass which went up from £51 to £61.50. Quite a hike at the time
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2018
What is the Newcastle Dayrider going to cover?

For example will it still be valid to Wallsend and Silverlink? Only South Shields and Sunderland it won't cover?
RE: Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2018
Anywhere that Stagecoach Newcastle operate to apart from Northumberland (i.e. Ponteland and Darras Hall), plus the X24/34 as far as Gateshead High Street.
