The most likely thing. It's one of the brands that I would have chosen to get rid of myself with not being focused on both routes held within it.

Possibly is that. Although I did hear a rumour new buses are due for the 4. Which made me wonder if the Citaros from the 4 May go on the 5/50 and the buses from there allocated elsewhere. Might be just hear say and rumours though

Sweet, could be hybrid so would leave a excuse to buy 9084, props not 9083 although a brilliant bus

If there's one thing GNE does well it's branding imo, although that's probably because I have "this is the Castles Express X21 service to X" engrained in my head, I suppose that was the plan!
I think for people who don't travel by bus that often having recognisable branding is key. It's a lot easier to look out for a big green bus than to look for a relatively little sign saying 21. That is assuming they allocate the right buses!

Absolutely. It should have been axed when it became the 'Five slash Five O', rather than brand more buses for it.

Regarding the December picture of YY56FFL and being allocated to Park View scholars services which have seen some overcrowding.

I believe this batch was purchase by Brighton and Hove to solve another overcrowding issue, also education related and were used on the main route out to the Universities.

And then the Eastbourne route suffered overcrowding resulting in passengers being left behind in Brighton for the full trip to Eastbourne and vice versa and so were route swapped.

Same tbh, also if that brand is going, then which other brand(s) will go?, didn't expect to see it go (if it is!).

I'll not complain if we get those citaros on the 50. Anything else would ruin the ride.

Same for the 5 tbh. The omnis are mint buses no question but don't compare to the comfort I find on the mercy. Id imagine that the omni could finally replace and give a full omnicity allocation to the 19. 4982 probs usless although repainted. Any other suggestions where these omnis could go?

Also, does anyone know where 629/30/40 are since the new solos are out?

Probably sent to saltmedows to be de-commissioned of go north east equipment before they get given back to sunderland council/university (cant remember which one owns them)

The three new Solos, 726 - 728, entered service at around mid-day today.

As a consequence the three Hybrid Solos, 629, 630 and 640, have now been withdrawn from service and are currently being decommissioned at Saltmeadows Road. They're pictured below at Deptford after coming out of service:

Just seen the new brand, looks really smart

Do you know what the council are doing with the hybrids?

Edit:

I noticed, the new Solo's aren't tracking yet

Meanwhile I caught a snap of 728 with yourself at the wheel, had to ditch my shopping in Aldi just to get this photo before going around my Nana's. -https://www.flickr.com/photos/adammalarkey/32904739498/in/dateposted-public/

Is it just me, or has Dan gone all 'invisible' on us? There's nobody at the wheel...

I sometimes feel like nobody can see me when I drive buses too. I seem to have the shorter straw though, as I feel like the entire bus is invisible to some car drivers

He mustn't have been on them long as I photoed all 3 in service this afternoon at the Interchange at about 2pm. Think that's the quickest in a while I've ticked of all the new buses in such a short amount of time.
