I think the allocation choice will just fit your benefit and not Go North East or passengers as they just want a bus no fuss over if it is ex Eyms or not. Arriva cover quorum pretty well so can't see a need for Go North East to go there.

Pointless, it doesn't even serve the Town of Bishop Auckland, also I can't see many fare paying passengers on it as it doesn't connect them with many major retail or leisure faciltys. Also considering the mileage the proposed driver has done, 9 minutes is the best that he or she can be offered. Should really think of where people want to go before flooding the suggestions thread with unnecessary suggestions.

I would probably agree that it'd be worth diverting into Crook and Bishop Auckland and even then the only scope would probably be a summer ramblers service maybe?

Looking at the timing... Google tells me following A695, A68, A688 and A67 it takes 1 hour 10 minutes from Hexam to Barnard Castle, which is pretty much what you had it as. I'd suggest adding a bit more time for it to actually stop for passengers. As a comparison Google maps says it'd take 22 minutes to drive route 43 including it's detours through Ushaw Moor and Esh Winning. Arriva's timetable states the jouney time at 26 minutes and still can't get them to run on time!

Extend from Heworth alternate journeys to Boldon Asda via Wardley and Testos Roundabout. Operating a loop from Testos via West Boldon. Boldom Bank. Boldon Asda Boldon Cinema and back to Testos returning to Heworth and back onwards to Newcastle as normal.

Not with the 57 current route. It emerges onto the A184 from Fairways Estate in the wrong direction. 

You could remove the 57 from Fairways and extend direct to Boldon Asda and revise the 58 to extend to Fairways as an alternative though.

Reliability would be horrendous given how tight the 4 is for time between Houghton and Heworth as it is.

I would suggest merging the 4 and 58 together however.

It wouldnt make any difference to a customer cause the X66s run far off time too at times like. Could do with some re-timing but would be interesting to see if it's a corridor worth upgrading.

To take on the shrudy so called 'Sapphire' 43/44/45

- 58 extended to Cramlington via Gosforth, Regent Centre, Wideopen, Seaton Burn, Dudley and Southfield Green.
- Buses towards Heworth will call at Barras Bridge then via St Mary's Place and John Dobson Street before continuing normal route to Heworth from New Bridge Street.
- Buses towards Cramlington will call at Pilgrim Street, John Dobson Street and Haymarket Bus Station.
- Monday to Saturday daytime buses will operate every 10 minutes.
- Evening buses will operate every 30 minutes and will be timed to depart Haymarket at xx:00 and xx:30. Last bus to Cramlington will leave Haymarket at 23:30.
- Sunday daytime buses will operate every 15 minutes to Seaton Burn Bridge Street continuing every 30 minutes to Dudley, Southfield Green and Cramlington.

AND.........

Hourly N58 service to run on Friday and Saturday evenings covering the whole route.

Peterlee Suggestion:
X6/X7: Removed from serving Bourdon Road and Holmeside, instead will just observe Sunderland Interchange. These services will be revised to serve Ryhope Village and Ryhope Hospice, then operating along the seafront to Seaham.

X9: Journeys to Middlesbrough will additionaly call at East Durham Collage, aswell as the A19 Slip Road. This will allow local residents and students easier access to these services.

X10: Evening and Sunday Journeys to Middlesbrough will additionaly call at East Durham Collage, aswell as the A19 Slip Road. This will allow local residents and students easier access to these services.

X11: Peterlee - A19 - Wingate - Station Town - A19 - Billingham - Stockton - A19 - Middlesbrough. This service will provide a direct link to Teeside from areas in County Durham. Aswell as providing a link between Stockton and Billingham for Go North East Ticket Holders. This service will operate up to Every 2 Hours.

201: Daytime Journeys reduced to hourly.

202: Extended back to Sunderland replacing service 238, although after Ryhope Village this service will follow the 9/60 section to Sunderland. This service will however serve Bourdon Road and Holmeside. This service will no longer serve Wingate and Station Town, this section is covered by new service X11.

238: This service will only operate between Seaham and Washington. After Barnwell the service will run via Biddick. Evening and Sunday journeys will remain as current...

38: Revised to operate every 30 minutes Monday to Saturday Daytimes.

Service 201 and 209 will operate hourly using the same vehicle for the entire day...

Service 202 and 208 Easington Village Bound Journeys will operate hourly interworking at Peterlee with a PVR of 4.

Service 210 will interwork with both services 204/208. PVR of 4

Service 238 will be operated out of Washington with a PVR of 3.

Service 265 will return to stand-alone and revert back to Chester Le Street operation.

Could the Q3 continue from Great Park to Kingston Park Shops, via Brunton Lane? The 42A links Wallsend to Kingston Park, but the Q3 could serve Kingston Park from the City Centre. There is a lack of GNE services in the West End of Newcastle.

For it to work it would need an extra 20 minutes added to the timetable for going in and out of town and an extra vehicle added to the PVR and still have the 6 minutes spare for each round trip, 2 at Kibblesworth, 2 at Gateshead and 2 in town.
