Receiving depot is still to be decided. These are instead of the E200 initially to arrive on the back of Solos departing Carlisle.

(09 Mar 2019, 8:06 pm)RBZ 5459 wrote Merseyside & South Lancashire's Preston-based 27768 and 27769 have transferred to Carlisle depot this weekend in exchange for MAN Enviro 300 24119 and 24123 which have gone to Liverpool's Gilmoss depot. The MAN examples, having high-back dual purpose seating, are to be allocated on the Liverpool to Widnes X5 service replacing Volvo B7 coaches. In the coming weeks, 24120 and 24124 will join Gilmoss also once 22880 and 22885 have been released by Kendal depot. All four will be branded for the X5.

24124 and 24120 are expected to transfer imminently - awaiting 22879s return from Plaxtons (MANviro 22877, 22878 and 22879 have been away for Cummins engines)

Yeah still very much on depot cloud-tech trials. No real date until they are finished, but was suppose to be for 'a few months'

Worth a follow.
They're looking to develop a network.

Been a bit of a bad situation with that service in days of late, last two summers I've travelled on the X12 service between Coniston and Ulverston on a afternoon which also used to carry school kids, was a MPD on both occasions, this MPD was written off a few hours after I traveled on it!

Route 685 Carlisle <> Newcastle. E400MMC 11157 which operates on the no 2 board Monday-Friday now appears to operate on the no 1 board on Saturdays - was on it today and last Saturday. I presume because this is a better capacity.

Believe I've seen 22873 being collected today, coming out from Carlisle depot. Is that for Euro 6 conversion or is it being disposed?

Also why are there still 51 plate Solos in service?

The E400MMC was in Hexham Bus Station out of service around 0830 this morning. It came in, went out, came in again with 19145, and left around 0945 out of service.

Presuming the E400MMC was having some sort of issue and the E400 replaced it.

The new E400MMCs for Lancaster depot 11202-15, are to displace the ex-Manchester Alexander Dennis Tridents from there and Carlisle back to Manchester as part of a reserve fleet. As such, E400 10014-7 (PX12 DLV/Y/Z, DME) have been transferred from Lancaster to Carlisle. Also moving to Carlisle from Lillyhall are ex-North East E400s 19141/3.

Imagine Morecambe will drip feed them into service like the 1 ones. Need NSA sorted and branding for the 2X/100 applied too. Adding to what has already been said about the four Morecambe Dennis E400 landing at Carlisle, the new MMCs will see some Scania move to Barrow and Lillyhall, the latter releases 19141/3.

In other news as a minor update:

- 25213/17 have transferred up from Stagecoach West in exchange for 34716/18, the Versa are belted so are for Penrith schools

- 22782/9 are due from Hull in exchange for two of Carlisle's MANviro, again belted ones for schools at Penrith

- in the process of 18321/25/26/57/58/60/61/65 transfering to Stockport

- an E400 will be allocated on the X9 college service, which in turn will see it work the 61 in Carlisle

- the 8 former Lillyhall MANviro at Morecambe are due Cummins Euro 6 conversion

Also, due to a road closure in Haydon Bridge between 05/08 and 08/09 11157 will not see use in the 685 due to the diversion route not being suitable for double deckers. 11157 is instead allocated to services 104/400/600/554. 27141 and 27142 will be used on the 685, 27142 is currently in the paint shop, retaining green Cross Pennine livery.
