They have been stripped of their Lindisfarne Gospels panel branding but still have the top half over the windows. However, they cant do a full shift as the trip from Stanley to Durham, the days shift and back to Depot is approxiately 70 miles and the battery charge lasts for 65 miles. Therefore, a driver needs to take the 3rd one through to displace one that will then go to Stanley to be charged. They will then take it back down to Durham and displace the other one leaving 2 well-charged up buses for the rest of the day. Very awkward i must say.
Do you know what sort of charge time they have?
Haven't checked it out, but Durham - Hetton mustn't be too much different mileage wise as Durham - Stanley.
Wonder how Yourbus managed it?
