(01 Sep 2019, 7:17 am)Dan wrote Those 2009 Versas are only Euro 4, so no good for the 35 (as every board has at least one journey which is secured as Euro 5).
The 35 will now be operated by Mercedes Citaros on Sundays, as many fleet livery as possible followed by the remaining Wear Xpress examples yet to be painted after that. This reduces the mileage operated by these Scanias, and aims to improve reliability on Sundays.

And reliability, comfort and possibly MPG?
My love (?!) of them is well documented and I've been of the opinion that they should have gone years ago.
A few Sundays off shouldn't affect their mileage too much.
It's not as if those Scania lumps have got much of a life beyond GNE.

So what will be used on the 35 going forward Monday to Saturday once the Scanias are withdrawn?

Where would these be magiced from?
5409-5420, 5440 & 5441 at Consett, latter 3 I would imagine will release 3 double decks off the RK for scholars work.
St Bedes require 11 double Deckers, 2 of which work on to Service work.
6915, 6916, 6917, 6918, 6919 and 6932 are dedicated to scholars, taxi and V11

11x ex Red Kite Streetlites + 3x ex PB Streetlites
- 8x for 58
- 5x for 12/12A
- 1x spare
Then.................
- 8x Versas + another sourced for 93/94
- 4x Mercs for the 6 (or 5x if frequency goes back to every 30 mins whole route)
I don't think however that the 93/94 will become a double deck operation. Versas would be most suited to this route.
The 6 needs Double Decker vehicles as they are regularly busy on the Tyne and Wear section of the route...

Tbh, I'm still expecting them to appear on the X lines in a few months time.
It was the same with when they came last year and still 6918 made it's regular service debut on the 15th September on the 57 and 6923 on the 97A on the 5th October and since thise 2 first had those ventures riverside always seemed to have them out at the end of last year/start of this year and 6916 even found it's way onto the X66 in December.
And Depford's dual doors appear loads on the 56
So I imagine consent will do the same this year

The ex London Gemini is likely to have been 6912 which is out on the 34 this morning.
