RE: EYMS: Latest News & Discussion
(31 Mar 2019, 3:09 pm)S813 FVK wrote Other buses in the repainting process are B7TL 700 and B9TLs 717 and 734. B8RLE 387 was reported as being in the body shop on 14th March, though there has been no further developments here.

782 is the first of the refurbished buses for Scarborough, having being spotted at Bus & Coach World. Would expect these to be allocated across services 12/13 and 128 - the only 'regular' double deck routes to operate out of Scarborough.

Indeed, promotional material has made its way out for services 12 and 13, which will gain the 'Coaster' brand name.

Anyone know when the first of these are due to be returned to EYMS.

Enviro 200 390 has now gained 'Scarborough locals' branding, appearing to be the replacement for the 'Scarborough & District' name:

RE: East Yorkshire: Latest News & Discussion
For the first time to my knowlodge, East Yorkshire have published a full timetable for the 109 as part of a full 'Beachcomber' leaflet - including the times for Bridlington's 100 (which appears to be just running as 'Beachcomber' this summer, no mention of a service number) and the 'Scarborough Skipper' - unfortunately there does appear to be a tiny error on the timetable...…..

Beachcomber - then click on the PDF...….
RE: East Yorkshire: Latest News & Discussion
As posted by both the East Yorkshire Enthusiasts Facebook Page and by Mr Gilbert:

In addition to 791, 781 (YX14 HEU) is also now refurbished and was collected today
782 (YX14 HEV), 790 (BP15 OLC) and 792 (BP15 OLG) are presently away at Bus and Coach World undergoing refurbishment - 792 being the example taken over today in exchange for 781
While both batches are undergoing the same treatment, it has been flagged up that they have different seat types - 790-2 having the same Esteban Civics as fitted to GNE 6118-21, while 780-5 have Rowan Telmac, the same as found in Arriva's 7401-6.
A second 'Beachcomber' B7TL/Gemini is approaching completion at Ensign - this being another one for Scarborough judging by the picture (see the comments in the post linked below)

Got quite a few of them when I went to Hull on Saturday, think I have the correct fleetnumbers but not entirely sure if they are correct.

Of the 'Beachcombers', 896 (BX54 DJY) has been allocated to Bridlington for the 100.

I clicked onto the EvoSeti photo and enlarged it.  It doesn't look to have been refurbished.

This picture of an Enviro 400 - MMC suggests it has similar seating to examples on Go North East route X30.

Coaster B9s are the only buses to have been refurbished to my knowledge, everything else so far has just been repainted.

The seats are indeed the same as GNE's, they have ADL's 'Smart Seats' and have used the same moquette.

Thank you for clarifying this. I now feel easy about going to either Newcastle or Hull this year, then visiting the other city next year.

RE: East Yorkshire: Latest News & Discussion
Details on the 'Coaster' and 'Beachcomber' 2020 Summer season are now on East Yorkshire's website

Coaster
Beachcomber

In a short summary:
Coaster
[*]The 119 is renumbered 12A, and starts back in Bridlington at 0630 running 5 minutes earlier than present between Primrose Valley and Scarborough Railway Station
[*]12/13 journeys from Scarborough will operate 5 minutes earlier than the 2019 timetable but, during the day, are unchanged from Bridlington and Filey
[*]New later journeys on the 13 are introduced - running hourly from Bridlington at 2000 2100 and 2200 (the last 12 from Bridlington to Scarborough will be 1930 all year - last summer, there was a 2020 trip on the 12), and from Scarborough at 1840 1940 and 2040 to Bridlington with a 2140 journey as far as Reighton Sands Holiday Camp

Beachcomber
[*]The 109 will now be known as 'RED' and will operate to the same timetable as during 2019 - either every 30 minutes at quiet times, every 20 minutes during the mid season, and roughly every 15 minutes during the high Summer season and School Holidays.
[*]The 'Scarborough Skipper' will be known as 'GREEN' and starts in April running Weekends and School Holidays only. Information so far suggests a similar timetable to 2019
[*]Bridlington's 100 will now be known as 'BLUE' and, like GREEN, will operate School Holidays and Weekends only between April and the end of September
