Yorkshire Bus Operations
First South Yorkshire
Following a reorganisation of management, South Yorkshire is now part of a large 'First Midlands and Yorkshire' division managed from Leicester.
As such, there's been some reorganisation of fleet and plans for a new look for the operation.
All information (and images) below comes from the 'South Yorkshire Transport Forum'
The majority of Doncaster's fleet will be receiving the fuchsia fronted version of First's 'Olympia 2' livery (as being adopted by York minus the coloured front) of which the B7RLEs transferred from Leicester, which are amongst the first to receive the 'Doncaster's Clever Buses' branding (they are undergoing repaint beforehand however)

Arriva Yorkshire & Yorkshire Tiger
Following the end of the Leeds Bradford Airport 'Flying Tiger' services, the fleet has been spread about:
VDL SB120/Wright Cadet 621 and VDL SB200/Wright Commander 1410 are of course on long-term long to Arriva North East
Optare Versa 791-5 have transferred to the main Yorkshire fleet at Castleford depot, repainted into 'Sapphire' livery and will see use on the Leeds-Castleford services 167/168
E200MMCs 1070-75 are operating from Wakefield Belle Isle depot, currently 'on loan'
Also transferred from Yorkshire Tiger to the main Arriva Yorkshire fleet are VDL SB180/MCV Evolution 663-665 (YJ60 GFV/X/Y) and 666/667 (YJ10 DFA/C), which are now allocated to Selby depot. In exchange, Castleford's Optare Tempos 1307-12 (YJ09 EYL/M/O/P/R/S) have moved to Yorkshire Tiger at Huddersfield Waterloo depot - the Tempos were originally due to move to Selby but their poor steering lock proved to be the downfall to that plan.
The lose of the Flying Tiger work also saw the company vacate the Idle depot (Transdev have now taken over the lease) and hand back the Bradford area contracts - therefore ex-ANE Solos 2803-5/7/8/11/14/29 have transferred to Elland depot, reuniting them with sisters 3020/1 (formerly 2826/31) although at present, 2805/7/29 look to be VOR judging by the Bus Times data.

The first vehicle repainted into a version of First's Olympia 2 livery under the banner of 'Doncaster's Red Buses' is Streetlite 63129 (SN14 DVZ) - compared to the majority of the Olympia 2 wedge liveries, this contains an additional purple 'road stripe' with white edging evoking the traditional 'Doncaster Corporation' livery as worn by B9TL 37230

The first single decker into the new Sheffield livery is ex-Manchester Volvo B7RLE/Wright Eclipse Urban 2 69525 - while the deckers (as B9TL 37472 is also now repainted) have snooker balls as the rear slash of this livery (based off what is called 'Urban 2' in standard First colours), this has 'bass lines' with the tag line 'buses that look good on a dance floor' in refence to The Artic Monkeys. There are to be a number of variations to the livery, each highlighting one of Sheffield's famous links.

The first Doncaster bus to be painted into the originally-proposed 'Doncaster's Red Buses' livery is B9Tl/Gemini 2 36227 (BD12 TBU) - like the Sheffield livery, it includes the front cream 'wedge' with the addition of the Doncaster 'Purple' wedge

Came up with a few different adaptations of the "Rider Liveries" for potential expansion of the network to connect more areas of Yorkshire together.
Green for "West Rider" for potential services from York/Hull to Leeds/Keighley and Bradford in competition with Transdev CityZap/Yorkshire Coastliner/Aureline and First X6.
Blue for "South Rider" for potential services from York/Hull to Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham in competition with Stagecoach/First who operate in these areas.
Red for "North Rider" for potential services from York/Hull to Harrogate and Ripon in competition with Transdev York & Country services 22/23

Why do you think East Yorkshire will want to operate these sort of services in competition with the existing operators. e.g First York tried operating an X64 York to Leeds service in Spring 2009 that lasted until August 2010 in competition with Transdev, it was also the reason that CityZap was introduced. I would suggest East Yorkshire spends its resources improving its existing services in the East Riding rather than expanding in an exercise that cost lots of money and will probably do little for EY's income.
A more sensible suggestion for using the other points of the compass:
X5 Hull to Goole - West Rider (instead of East Rider)
121 Hull to Bridlington - North Rider
350 Hull to Scunthorpe - South Rider (although this would need Stagecoach's buy in as at present this service is operated jointly as the Humber Fastcat)
Transdev
The Keighley Bus Company
Solo SRs 155-7 have been repainted out of Keighley Jets two-tone green into a new Cream/Green livery - 155/6 are branded 'Otley Dash' for the former 965 Otley Town service which from today is extended to Menston Railway Station in place of the 962. 157, along with newly acquired second hand examples 165 (YJ13 HJG) and 166 (KX64 AEC) ae branded for 'Wharfdale Links' for use on services 948 (Eccleshill Park Rd to Apperley Bridge Station - peak times only in one direction), 962 (Otley to Ilkley then Ilkley Town Circular) and 966 (Guiseley and Yeadon Circular).
As such, former 'Otley's 965' branded MPD 720 has now gained 'The Keighley Bus Company' branding with 'nah then, 'ow do......let's go up hill an' down dale' taglines to promote their operation of Dalesbus services 862 (Keighley to Ilkley - one direction AM and PM only), 873 (Ilkley to Skipton via Bolton Abbey and Embsay) and 884 (Ilkley to Skipton direct).

Interesting to see Arriva let Transdev stake a further foothold in the Yorkshire market
