Moderation note: Thread split, due to this not being a repaint.

It ties in with some work also being done to adapt the 2016 fleet livery to be in the same style as the 2019 fleet livery with road stripes instead of the white swoosh.

The following vehicles have been done this week (with Euro 6 leaves added where appropriate):
5337 HF06 FUA (https://flic.kr/p/2kDjiy1)
5389 NL63 YAX
5453 NK66 EWB
5454 NK66 EWC
5456 NK66 EWE
5458 NK66 EWH
5459 NK66 EWJ
5461 NK66 EWM
5462 NK66 EWN
8305 NK09 FVF
8306 NK09 FVG
8307 NK09 FVH
8308 NK09 FVJ
8309 NK09 FVL
8325 NK11 FXH
8326 NK11 GWX
8327 NK11 GWY
8328 NK11 HBC

Those listed below are due to be completed tomorrow:
5283 NK07 KPU
5338 HF06 FUB
5455 NK66 EWD
5457 NK66 EWF
RE: Euro 6 credentials & road stripes being added to more buses
Does this transition include the removal of the 2016 tagline?

5337 retains it (has only had it on one side for a while anyway) which perhaps answers the question, though things can slip through the net every so often.

It's supposed to, but the first ones completed were missed.
RE: Euro 6 credentials & road stripes being added to more buses
I thought 5337 was planned to be withdrawn once the dupe buses weren't needed?

I’m not sure of the point of it tbh. Branding wise doesn’t make the bus anymore attractive to a car user or lapsed passenger.

imagine most car users acknowledge that public transport usage equals lower emissions, they just don’t care.
Wistfully stuck in the 90s

In my experience I find the public perceive buses as polluting and smoky beasts, not making the link to lower emissions per potential passenger.

In this case these stickers remind me of the small wedge stickers that Arriva went through a phase of sticking on anything & everything, despite the toxic MAN goodness spewing out the back of them -

I believe them stickers were an Optare thing rather than Arriva. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photog...4997917250

Ironically at the time of that photo you linked to, the MAN had just been re-engined with a Cummins engine.

I do think the leaves should be underneath the lower saloon windows on both single and double decks, as London do with their environmental decals.
It would make it easier for people on foot and in vehicles to spot and read.

This seems way too high: https://flic.kr/p/2kE1Bbk
RE: Euro 6 credentials & road stripes being added to more buses
I wonder if XLine vehicles get their environmental ‘tree outline’ replaced with the new leaf. The leaf would certainly be more noticeable.
RE: Euro 6 credentials & road stripes being added to more buses
Was one of the first vehicles to be painted into 2019 livery in August after its use on the Rugby promotional scheme, was in use on the W2 for a short while then stored when GNE lost the contract.

Here it is in August 2019 on the W2. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photog...9118714708

And a few weeks earlier in June 2019 on the W2 still in its Rugby Livery. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photog...8399860906

It’s been used at Washington for staff shuttles today

709 is a bit of an oddball in the fleet due to it's low capacity, its sisters 706-708 were sold on, yet 709 remained. However I suspect that it maybe used on the H2 service as the cathedral Solo SR at Washington will probably be heading back to Consett depot.

I just cant get my head around anyone spending the time and money to titivate a 15 year old decker.

Totally agree, it's a complete waste!
It's not as if the new livery is radically different, they're both clearly identifiable as GNE

I think the road-stripes look better further back. There’s one or two B9s including the corporate spare hybrid where I think the stripes look too far forward of the rear wheel.

I definitely prefer them further forward, there just isn't enough blue at the top for my liking.

The stripe position is the least of my concerns with this, I'm more drawn to the exposed paintwork obscuring part of the legal address and the clearly visible removal of the website URL

Have they removed it if it's still clearly visible?   Cool
