They’ve been confirmed to move elsewhere internally, which could be within East Yorkshire or even possibly to GNE, nothing confirmed yet

Thanks for the information.

Be interesting to see what service they'll end up within the Go North East fleet, if they end up here.

Although we have none up here, they'll probables end up going on a EY service.

Look very smart! Wonder if it was a last minute decision regarding the bikes with the government's latest push towards cycling.

Mechanically they're just another B5 though aren't they?

The ex-GNE Scania Omnicitys transferred from use as training vehicles are now being repainted white and are for sale - comments on the Facebook post mentioning this suggest it's due to their condition. 5236 has been repainted all-over white.

The 'Bring your bike on board' vinyl on the front looks like a bit of an afterthought. You can see the crease where the two panel joins

Thank you for your detailed update.  I am likely to come and ride one in September or October.  Wink
RE: East Yorkshire: Latest News & Discussion
I am going to be in the area next week. Although I would find it useful to be sure of catching a new Enviro 400 on route 45, I am concerned in case occasional duties are covered by older buses. As I want to do an EvoSeti on route 121, I realise it might be a safer bet to change at Beverley onto route X46 or X47 instead.
RE: East Yorkshire: Latest News & Discussion
I made it to the area on Thursday. I stayed in Middlesbrough to ride route X93 to Scarborough, but started off with route X4 to Whitby to see more of the coast (and vary my buses slightly).

Anyway, my East Yorkshire buses were

Enviro 200-MMC 280 on route 7a to Wheatcroft Avenue via Seafield
Volvo B9TL (refurbished) 791 on route 13 to Bridlington
Volvo B5TL-EvoSeti 815 on route 121 to Beverley
Enviro 400-MMC 923 on route X46 to York

I found the seating on the new buses the most comfortable for some time. Certainly more so than the LNER Azuma with similar colours!
RE: East Yorkshire: Latest News & Discussion
A small fire at East Yorkshire's depot on Anlaby Road in Hull is now out and staff are back on site, working with Humberside Fire & Rescue to determine the cause.

The fire was contained to an internal office and did not spread thanks to the rapid response of the fire service. We would like to thank them for their help in dealing with the incident. There were no injuries.

Bus services in Hull and across the East Riding continue to operate as normal. The BusLine call centre is currently closed but bus information can be found online at eastyorkshirebuses.co.uk

Interestingly according to the Month Ensign News is that EYMS have acquired this Volvo B5TL / Wright Gemini 3 (https://www.flickr.com/photos/75694280@N02/26247181299) KD17TAU (Was 171-D-25062), a bit of a suprise since the other 2 (albeit with the old style front) were transferred to GNE where they already had Wright Gemini 3 bodied B5TL with the "stealth" front. I thought this would have been a better match for the GNE fleet rather than the EYMS fleet and send them a Volvo B9TL / Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 down there to save EYMS having non-standard vehicle.

I'm guessing part exchanged for one or two surplus ex National Express coaches.
Perhaps for the EY coaching fleet (to replace 200)?.

They’re all branded for the EastRider service between Hull and Goole.
