The brand and route has been decided, it isn't fruit.
RE: Go North East - Recent Repaints
Can confirm due to engineering trying to hide vehicle around the back that the route branding is for the 55. Pics of front will be up later.

Also 6059 looks to be next Coaster decker to be polished into a Diamond.

Who needs heroes anyway? Villians have more fun.

Wonder what will serve Asda at the MetroCentre if the Coaster is going to terminate at Gateshead Interchange, maybe the X66 will start running there again?

That's smart, looking forward to seeing the actual branding though.

So far, all the Sunderland network looks good... should hopefully boost passenger numbers...... hopefully the guide will be out soon.

Edit:

Surprised that they've decided to do 5334-5336 for the 55 when its PVR is currently 5 - although even if Martijn said "no changes to the 55", wonder it could go hourly but if not would it not of been better to have them in some sort of fleet order so:

5290 - 5297 - 35

5323 - 5327 - 55

5334 - 5336 - Go North East along with 5288, 5289

I wonder if service 55 will be dropped down to hourly to wingate with the short 55 to Peterlee dropped with the proposed hourly extension of the x1 to Peterlee?

That's what I'm also thinking, would make sense.

PVR would be 3 with the route being hourly.

Not sure on the flower but looks like lilac so possibly Sunderland District lilac or whatever the flower is called

This is speculation but I'm not sure why the 55 will be dropped. More likely the X1 extensions are going to replace the 202. The route South of Easington Lane just duplicates the 55 and doesn't really offer anything special and the the rest of the links are kept with the 265 going Easterly. Least the X1 would offer direct buses to Newcastle from Murton and South Hetton instead.

Not sure how interworking would work though as I know the 202/204/208/265 all work together.

Easington Lane always felt a bit super served with a bus every 10 minutes. I can’t help but feel they should have split one or two an hour at Houghton years back. Sending them to Dalton Park via Seaton, Seaham.
But if they’re extending one to Peterlee, then the other should go to Seaham via Murton and Dalton Park. X1s currently can look a bit empty particular past Hetton.

From what I've seen, it's just going to be Sunderland to Peterlee with the Peterlee to Wingate being seperate again (206?)

Wouldn't be surprised - is still half hourly or hourly?

I agree, I think it looks better darker at the back

Violet?! Dear god.
Will this get the non-enthusiasts talking buses too?

God help the poor buggers who have to use it.
