Could just use the 4 trains an hour (at least)... which would take half the time and usually have v. cheap fares because of all the competition.
RE: Fleet Changes
Have I imagined this or did Stagecoach Darlington not run it's X90 Newcastle - York originally, before scrapping the Darlington - York section?
RE: Fleet Changes
Thats correct Stagecoach did run the X90 to York. The train saw it off. If GNE did a winter market style service to York they be better off running it down the A19 calling at the same places as the X11 did.

Love the 3 ingle seats at the left upstairs front. Meant you didn't have to worry about anyone sitting next to you. Plus the 3 seater above the driver was very comfortable too....... not to sure about the plastic seats Northumbria put on back three rows though!

Looks like 6065 - 6068 could be for X5/X15. Also I wonder if 6043- 6049 could be for the 47/47A with 6064 and 6069  as spares and 6085 -6089 refurbished for the 10. Don't know what will happen to 6070 unless they are short elsewhere at Consett.

A third spare at Consett I guess, the fact they removed the low bridge on the 78 suggests that they're going to end up on there at times.

Guessing the Streetdecks will be going to Chester Le Street for the 21 / 25 since there's no other deckers for it and The Angel has no spares atm.
