One thing I do really like is the fact it tells you it runs express, so CLS it says 'this service will now run non-stop to Low Fell, where we will arrive in approx 13 minutes', then at Low Fell it says 'this service will now run non-stop to Gateshead Interchange where we will arrive in approx. 8 minutes'.

I feel like since they started doing that, the amount of people trying to get off between Low Fell and CLS has basically dropped to zero, where beforehand it was a regular occurrence.

People putting their hand out for the X21 when they know it doesn't stop their does my head in.

Those people don't really bother me, they may not understand that it doesn't stop if they're new to buses.
It's the people that get on and then ring the bell in Harlow Green, then whinge at the driver because he didn't stop that irritate me.
But, like I say, since they added the bit to the NSA, that's basically stopped

I get that tbh, just a bit annoying when it happens 5 times in a row

It was included on the X21 from when it was branded as The Castles Express and Go North East were marketing the various castles en-route.

Research at the time suggested there was an increase in the number of leisure users using the X21 to reach tourist destinations. It’s never really been changed since.

I don't remember anything like that before it changed to X-lines like! In fact I remember complaining on here about the addition of it

It was too repetitive on frequently stopping services, and half the time it would get cut off mid sentence when the doors closed and the service/destination would then be announced.

Fair enough have it on the x9/x10 coaches maybe as their dwell time will be a tad longer at stops.

Neither have I to be fair, I’ve never been on it. Big Grin
Just saying, it could work on there.

I don't know how it's taken me so long to notice and get annoyed by it, but on the Northbound X21 from Bishop it says it will arrive in Newcastle in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes time, however on the Southbound journey it says it will arrive in Bishop in approximately 90 minutes time.

I know it's the same amount of time, but why the difference in wording?

90 minutes ‘sounds’ less that 1 hour & 30 mins.
They should stick with 90 mins for both directions. Smile

Why hasn't the NSA on the Coaster 1 to Whitley Bay been updated yet. It still says Howard Street. Its changed going towards Newcastle. It doesn't speak but it says on the board. Albion Road Upper Camden Street
