(10 Dec 2021, 12:19 pm)streetdeckfan wrote if the services share any common routes or destinations with GNE, I can see them using some nice, refurbished buses to try and steal some passengers.
Although, when GNE were running the Arriva 6, they ran it with Versas, so maybe not! Maybe since GNE ran the X21 along the same route, there was an agreement that they wouldn't use nice buses?
Doubt GNE tickets would be accepted since it's not their service
(10 Dec 2021, 12:34 pm)Ambassador wrote I doubt passengers would think twice. A bus is a bus to most, especially those off on the drink/visiting family on the 26thDue to it being Boxing Day, most buses aren't required they could stick buses with amenities on them to try and keep passengers or get more for GNE.

Might aswell run the 43 between Cramlington and Newcastle and extend it to Blyth via the X10 route. That's arriva for u though. They make the strange decision for Boxing day services like the 52 used to run from Newcastle to Killingworth. The Annitsford to Killingworth area has nothing through on Boxing day
There's barely any difference in times 7 mins or so I believe and they duplicate each other.
Much rather see either the X7 or X22 run which would provide many areas without any service a bus (Seaton Valley, Burradon, South Beach (no 309). The x22 between between Bedlington and Ashington.

I can see that the 306, 308 and 311 have been coordinated to give a 20 minute frequency between Coast Road /Station Road and Haymarket.
Only change I'd suggest for Boxing Day schedules would be to change the last 311 to be a 306 (terminating at Billy Mill) but additionally serving Hadrian Park.

(11 Dec 2021, 6:55 pm)Storx wrote Yeah I know, it was instead of running duplicates on the 43/X10 corridor have both services running rather than not having the X21 running. They're pretty much different routes through out and it would be the next busiest service other than the X7.I agree about the 43 & X10. If NUFC were playing at home, I'd say yes but a normal Sunday? An hourly 43 extension to Blyth would suffice.
(11 Dec 2021, 3:17 pm)Malarkey wrote Shame there is once again no service to Cobalt Business Park when there is still staff who work on these days as businesses such as EE who I work for are a 24 Hour Operation every day of the year.
Could easily extend the 311 from Hadrian Park to do a loop around the business park.
