I am thinking Versa's, but I wonder if they will be repainted/new interior aswell

Personally I think there's enough spare Streetlites floating around, when you consider the ones that were covering at Consett for the Country Ranger rebrand, the transfer of the remaining 16 plate Streetdecks for the 5/50 should release some, and the PVR decrease on the 20. I've said before but I think ex-Prince Bishops will go on the Drifter and the current Drifter will go on the 5/9.

Deptford are struggling with correct allocations aswell. A prince Bishops & Purple on 60, with Corporate Solo & 8342 on the 206 and 20 respectively.
Why do 60's appear on 9 & 5 so much.
I thought the 19's requirment was for minimum of like 50/60 passengers minimum

Council need to paint more yellow lines around there as it's bad enough trying to get around in a car at times.
Area is busier than ever but no operators are reacting to it. Traffic and parking problems aren't going to go away with a piss poor level of service to there.

Nexus has extended the trial further, as early signs indicate an improvement in reliability and the Fish Quay has been omitted on fewer occasions with the revised allocation (but it’s still not great).
As such, the three surplus Streetlites have or will transfer out - 8341 & 8342 to Deptford and 8343 to Riverside to replace the final Omnicity on service 29.

Wonder if they'll bother doing the seats, they're probably the number one thing that would put me off using them, they're arse-numbingly uncomfortable
And if they do the seats I'll be shocked they only have a couple years left. But I do wonder what modifications

Then ask the PTE to subsidise some sort of bus service.

Which may or may not last.
Whereas from the outside in, the most obvious way to encourage people to make the switch - would be for the operators to do some research, find out where the demand/flow is and take the commercial punt.

tbf the place isn't exactly far from the centre of North Shields. Instead of forcing buses along there imo they should be looking at ways to connect it better to the town centre.
I know it's radical but something like building some escalators from the bottom upto towards where the registry office is would be better. Would help with the regeneration aswell and connect Howard Street which are going to be bars / restaurants aswell with the fish quay. It'd also open more parking at the top of the hill out of the way helping the traffic problems aswell.
If you removed the problem with the hill then it's really not far but with the hill there people won't walk it, not to mention the ferry is supposedly moving along there aswell.
