Re Riverside depot capacity

When planning permission was given, 14 bendis were still in use on 58's.

Now they have gone, and been replaced versas, there is extra space in the new depot.

Ah right, this is one of those things where you haven't a clue about anything but when somebody tells you them you're like 'ah, I knew them'.
That is probably why so many deckers need to be based at Stanley, although the longer distance ones could be worked by other depots to get rid of some of that dead mileage.
tyresmoke   19 Jan 2014, 9:44 pm
I think they only have the 151 in Benton as it fits convieniently after doing the 792 (which starts at Blackhall Mill) over to Longbenton DSS. Winlaton do the afternoon 792 I understand.

Think they should renumber 88A to 89 and the 5 to 87 think that's a good idea and sunderland 2A 2C what stupid numbers think they should renumber that service 2A to 12 and 2C to 12A

No keep the 2A/2C the way it is, The Service has already been re-numbered a few times in the Last 10 Years from 638 to 773/774 to 73/74 to how it is now, there is no need to change the Number of the Service, as all it would do is confuse passengers.

Made it simple for people to know if they were going the long way or short way around a loop. Again if I remember correctly North Tyneside also had services numbered like this. One of the famous routes to be run like this is the 11A and 11C outer circle routes that circle the outer Birmingham area.

I think your correct on the 2A/2C part.

I remember when it was first launched, it was one massive loop service, the timetable was quite confusing. -

Glad they sorted that out, service seems to of come a long way since Oct 2008

A couple of questions:

Was 'Red Kite' the first branded service?

Did it receive the first OmniCities?

In the original press release did it say 'travel in air-conditioned comfort'?

If Q2 is affirmed, would it be reasonable to expect that when the Omni's are cascaded, they will be replaced with new vehicles?

Sorry, that's for questions!

Suicide attempt. Bloke said he had a gun but he didn't. Police massively overreacted. Nexus 23 was worst affected

I was close enough, I wouldn't say they overreacted though, especially after the Raoul Moat incident a few years back.

Dont know about that, as Mr Malarkey pointed out Raoul Moat will always be on a Bobbys mind when dealing with a call of this nature, they are not to know he is lying and unarmed, it just depends how many were dispatched tk warrant it being an over-reaction...

One of my mates had to face down an Armed Response once after a disagreement with someone else I know, the person who he had been at loggerheads with phoned the law and told them he had a 'carving knife and threatened to die through Suicide by Cop' which turned out to be a load of shite, this was long before Raoul Moat and he was told the Police had to go armed to the teeth just in case he had a weapon...

What next for this bus I wonder ....
CatsFast101   20 Jan 2014, 8:12 pm
Good question regarding 3964's future, I wonder if it'll remain in it's current livery until they have some thing else to brand/paint it for?

Also, I'm according to fleet allocation 5204-5209 are all still fab56 which ones are now in black?

All I know is that 5205 is black, and possibly 5207. 5205-9 are all going black as far as I know.
