Noticed this morning that Stagecoach Sunderland are putting their prices up from Sunday

Would imagine the rest will be the same.

Do these include Under 19 fares?

Not understanding how a Teesside Tripper can cost £4.70 on Arriva but £4.80 on Stagecoach when it's the same ticket?
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
The E400's seem to be on the 20 (Sunderland - Pennywell) often, are these now a mix of Gas and E400's?

There's 2 E400's on today.

Obviously the schools are off at the moment, but I think Stagecoach interwork some of their Nexus scholars services with standard local bus services in Sunderland (dropping journeys out of the core network to do schools) which is why you'll find them on the 13(?), 16, 18 and 20.

The patternation during school terms means rather than dead mileages the 18 normally starts at Seaburn with the one Wheatsheaf E400 that ends at Whitburn, the others head down the A19 and drop onto 13/16/20. Stark contrast to the dead mileage of the Walkergate buses that they provide daily

The school boards come off 16/18/99 and spare deckers often go on 20

Seems to always be one on the 16/20 whenever I am over Sunderland with odd one popping up elsewhere on likes of the 10/11/23, I do think as these E400's are being allocated to gas routes also that I maybe worthwhile purchasing some Alexander Dennis E400FCEV or E400CBG's in order to provide extra capacity where needed whilst maintaining full gas ops on the aforementioned routes.

I know the 16 is always allocated one, its normally the 5:46pm bus from the Stadium to Hastings Hill.

Wasn't it planned at one point for Sunderland to become fully gas? Doubt that'll ever happen now but would be good to see more gas buses.

Double decker Gas buses on the E services would be decent.

One of Sunderland’s Scholars boards does Scholars 827 from Mile End Road to Harton Academy then Scholars 802 from Harton Academy to Whitburn academy before picking up Service 18 at Seaburn.  On an afternoon the same bus runs off at Fawcett Street just after half two, picking up Scholars 827 running from St Wilfrids RC College to Jarrow.

Another of Sunderland’s Scholars boards does Scholars 542 from Low Simonside to Boldon School then runs onto Service 16.  On an afternoon the same bus runs off at Hastings Hill at 20 past 2 and picks up Service 556 at St Josephs Catholic Academy, operating to South Shields Interchange.  Unlike the board running off the 18, this vehicle returns to service in Sunderland after the scholars, picking up Service 16 at half four, from Hastings Hill and operates through til end of service.

The rest of Sunderland’s Scholars boards interwork with Services 99/939 utilising two vehicles.  One does a 939 then 801 the picks up Service 99 before running off onto an afternoon 939 to end the day.  The second only operates in the afternoon, running light to Durham to operate the St Leonards SL06 then runs light to Team Valley to pick up a 939.

There are no Scholars boards on Services 13 or 20.

It's a shame they didn't follow the same design as the Newcastle ones, which look quite decent compared to that.

This format isn't supposed to appear, it is something to do with the behind the scenes timetabling and has been around for years (hence the old style logos).  They tend to appear at bank holiday periods sometimes - suspect the drab old black & white tables will be back soon enough.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
With Pilgrim Street closing on May 16th for a couple of months all the bus stops are going to be reallocated around Market Street. Service 10/11/30/31/38 will be stopping beside Theatre Royal in both directions. Could get quite congested

Maybe some new map format and timetables due soon?
Shame, but rather unsurprising as they were rather out of date anyway. The Newcastle one still had the night buses on. The Sunderland one was less erroneous but it said the 3 serves either Gilley Law or Farringdon, but now it serves both, and didn't include the 19 or 99.
