Think my only criticism would be the duplication of the "C". Maybe the Cobalt Clipper brand logo didn't need it...? - just the big "C". Looking good though.

The back of the bus branding seems different from to the other back of the B9 in the picture... or is it just me?

As standard on recent (and future) brands, they will all have different 'taglines'.

Sorry should of being clearer, i meant the blue and red, the one in front seems shorter than the one behind, same as the blue and red near the indicators.

'Surf to the heart of Newcastle EVERY 10 MINS'

Shame that 309 & 310 don't run every 10 mins, with each running every 15 mins giving a combined 7/8 min frequency. Unless changes are planned.

See what you mean.... bit of a branding blunder I think Big Grin
Think 6101's is better, clean silver rear.

Meant to be gaining full rear destination displays first, aren't they?

Well I hope they are changing it otherwise that's embarrassing!

(24 Jan 2014, 5:39 pm)andreos1 wrote The FPP deny all knowledge of these incidents - although I have yet to speak to the leader of the FPF, who is reportedly on his way back from a top secret mission.

If you saw OAP pass holders making the bus late by apparently struggling to register their pass or got annoyed at the empty pop bottles rattling around and banging off your feet, chances are that the top secret mission of the day was 'operation disruption'.
Other incidents connected to this operation, included putting up temporary traffic lights/pretendy road works.
These were situated in various locations, including:
* Bournmoor
* Albany
* Near Nissan

Services disrupted by these actions, involved the 56 (see comments from yourself and Michael), the 50, 78 and 4.

If a GNE representative can confirm that they received a call earlier today, with the recognised code words 'MY KEY CARD IS NOT WORKING', then chances are the FPF have been out and about today.

& there was me thinking that the FPF were out and about every day, wreaking havoc on the unsuspecting travelling public !!!

Those temporary lights on the 56 are a bit of a pain in the rump as I had a trip out on it yesterday on me way to a meeting on the dark side (not Fencehouses), although I have been close to there this week.

Just wait till the snow comes and the FPF start abandoning cars everywhere!

Yeah I got on those Roadworks a few weeks back on the 56 when I did the whole from Sunderland to Newcastle, The ones at Wrekenton were the Worst, As for Today on the 8 it was just the Metro Newspapers for me otherwise the Journey to The Galleries went by smoothly.

It sounds like 'operation disruption' didn't cause that much disruption for you today!

All I can say, is keep your eyes peeled Malarkey!

Services 78 and 44 are disrupted due to traffic lights on Durham Road due to resurfacing works.

Ohhh I will, no doubt going down Team Valley for a Training Course for the Next 3 Months Starting Monday, will cause Daily Disruption at Wrekenton and Lobley Hill for me on the X1/93/94

Think that was only cos they wanted laser fully citaro. The solar lasers would then be transferred into prince bishop livery. Basically seems like they wanted brand standardisation

I would say Reliability would of been the Major Factor in the Decision not to combine the 20/35 and have a Full Length Route from Durham to South Shields via Sunderland.

No longer than the diamond route. However from the consultation passengers didn't particularly want to change it.

Why change it if it works for them and there happy with the Service that is being provided, Obviously GNE may minor changes to improve reliabillity every now and again, But don't see the 20/35 changing any time soon. Passengers in Shields can get the 35 into Sunderland Every 10 Minutes and then Swap onto a 20 which is also Every 10 Minutes and vice versa from the Durham side, or if they don't fancy that they can get the 50 and go via Washington and Chester le Street to Durham.

Yes exactly however I think they proposed it to try and standardise the buses on the route
