And I have found out where I got the 55 mins from! (Journey not highlighted is 50 mins and the highlighted one is 55 mins.

Haven't checked the bygone section to check, but pretty sure the 26 was given half an hour from Gateshead to Barley Mow and that was axed in the mid 90s.
Bearing in mind the increase in traffic (and traffic lights) since then, I am amazed the 21 is given half an hour, to go from Gateshead to Chester (which is another few miles down the road).

Nope it doesn't look like they do any internal branding as of late. Not entirely sure on the reasons...

You looked at all of the new stickers (No Smoking etc) on board buses purchased last year? All the same!

Imagine the same thing will be rolled out for internal branding...in time.

It makes sense to do so I guess. At least they can hold a load in stock, and be replaced with ease when idiots start to pick and peel them. The lack of internal branding does make the buses look incredibly bare though.

The Laser Mercs don't, or at least the ones I've been on don't.

A standard internal branding should be rolled out when things are a little less busy, I think... But I was told this quite a while ago.

Problem is that a lot of the new buses don't have a sensible coving panel - just look at the Angel - you'd get a crick in your neck to read them. Single deckers are a bit easier, but there's been loads done on brands etc in the past 6 months, so some may come in time

Spotted Fab56 decker 6086 running in service today with a full size rear display. Not sure but I thought I saw 6096 equipped likewise but it was getting a tad dark at that point.

Got A Question for our GNE Representatives.

What unearth happened with The Crusader 27 Today or should I say Gateshead Depot Overall?

As I seen 5312 on the 27X - Then on the 27 itself I seen 2 Vykings - One of which was 3971 - President 6031 - Northern Solar 4966 and Loop Solar 5222 I think it was.

Furthermore I seen a Cadet on the 57 and 97, Whilst Highwayman Solar 4967 was doing 64A/95's as they Interwork don't they. And 5389/90 were both on the 53/54 also, and here's me thinking Deptford were Bad at Allocating Buses, Not that I mind a nice Odd Working, but Today was just a bit too kind.

I'd like to hope all these odd workings are due to circumstances beyond depot control. The citaros on the 27 appear to be Off road/elsewhere quite a bit; most days someone is reporting something 'odd' on the 27! I can't imagine that 5312 was originally allocated to 27X, maybe breakdown cover? Maybe a similarly situation on 64/95's with regards to the highwayman solar.
The streetlites seem to be not coping. Always off route, one/two of deptfords solars may as well be put into drifter livery and the same situation for 5389/5390 might aswell be in Saltwell Park colours! But I'm hoping it's a few teething problems.

However deliberating allocating wrong branded buses are slightly annoying. Centurion gets on my nerves!

I seen 5312 at about 11:35 on Gateshead High Street heading to Hebburn, and then rest followed over the course of 30 Minutes before I headed over Blaydon/Winlaton way. As for the Streetlites, I'm not a fan of them and I think they are Underpowered, takes ages for them to gain any form of speed. I would think GNE aren't the only ones having teething problems, Pretty sure First have had a some Problems with theirs also.

8326 has broken down at Park Lane prior to performing the 0817am 61 to Murton.
A replacement bus is in the process of being arranged.

8325/8307 have both gone through Ryhope together bound for Murton. Appears like 8307 may have been breakdown cover; this early on why wasn't it allocated to 39's as it should of been?

Some of the Simplicity Versas still has internal branding from when it was on the 36

Why is the 39 and 61 on simpil city brand thought the 39 was going to be every 10 minutes, I thought the simpil city brand was for buses that are every 10 minutes

Regarding 61, I dont know why it is Simplicity, some of them have on the back 'Every 15 Minutes' and the others 'Every 10 Minutes'

There must be a few 10s sitting around as they originally operated a 20 minute frequency to/from Hexham - since reduced to 30 minutes.

The only spares for the TEN are 3941/42, the two B7TL examples.

The change you spoke of also saw the introduction of service 10B.

Think I have cracked the X1 Journey's where a Bus would disappear, well for one afternoon Journey anyway. For those who remember the conversation a few weeks back.

Depot Spare
15:00 - St Roberts Scholars to Springwell - Arrives at Springwell at 15:40ish
16:08 - 91 Team Valley to Newcastle - Arrives at Newcastle at 16:33
16:53 - X1A Newcastle to Picktree Village - Arrives 17:45ish
18:15 - 921 Rainton Bridge to Newcastle - Arrives 18:59
19:00 - X1 Newcastle to Easington Lane - Arrives 19:56(Driver Swap at WG at 19:29)
Does X1's for the Rest of the Evening

As for the Morning Journey's I think it would be

X1A Picktree to Newcastle
91 Newcastle to Team Valley
St Roberts Scholars
Light to Newcastle for the 11:10 921 to Rainton Bridge

I don't think at any point on other Journey's that an X1 Drops off Service during the Day, I think those Journey's run off a Scholars Run.

3 Esclipses were in Winlaton VOR Yesterday from what I could see, no idea whether the was some in the Workshop or not, as I could only see a Blaydon Racers Citaro, But there is the most likely reason for a B9 being on the Toonlinks Today.

I may be wrong, but I heard that every bus has had a new fuelling gismo fitted... something to do with how they'll refuel at Riverside...

That's a good point actually, it would explain why half of the Crusader Citaros were missing Yesterday also, I would hardly think that 6 Buses from the same brand would be VOR at the same, Unless they have serious problems like the Prince Bishops Solars did Last Year.
