GNE Questions about fleet withdrawals/buses VOR/fleet questions
(28 Mar 2023, 10:05 pm)Storx Aye possibly like would make sense to be fair.Yeah the 4s that go from Downhill and terminate at John St in the morning turn into X1s. There's a journey on the 8 that only runs on Saturdays - because in the week, that bus does an X1. Today I did a duty on the 4 which had an X1 which turns into a 4 at Fawcett Street (1632 from Doxy, btw) in the middle of it - I love the 4 but it's a nice break ?. A fair few boards on the 3 start or end with an X1, picking up or finishing the 3 at Farringdon.
Mind it's quite clever how the Stagecoach service runs, just been looking at the timetable with it using dropped out boards on the 3/4/12/13 to get the buses back to the depot. Didn't realise it worked like that, quite clever use of resources rather than having a too frequent service in the wrong direction with no-one on.

THEY HAVE GONE TO GNW

Not 100% sure but I think 6049/50 replaced them.

(30 Mar 2023, 5:41 am)Dan 6049 and 6050 replaced 6334 and 6335 at Consett.I'm assuming at Thorntons they will be refurbished and repainted?
6334 and 6335 are indeed now withdrawn and are being prepared for transfer to Go North West, along with 717. All three will be sent up to Thorntons shortly.

Anything below every 30 minutes is infrequent and undesirable unless it's a rural route in the wilds of nowhere like the Arriva X18 etc. If you finish work at 17:30 and the bus leaves at 17:27 it's a no go for example.The Tens seem to be really busy like. Same with the X1 whens that every 12 mins frequency coming back.
