RE: Preservation
Tyneside Heritage Vehicles have a number of Ex Stagecoach Vehicles which were preserved some years ago which are in the process of being restorted.

I'd personally like to see 34611 (NK04 NPX) Preserved once it is withdrawn from service along with an ALX300 and an Volvo B10M Alexander PS if any of the North East batch remain.

There's 33101 (R101 KRG) and two ex City Sightseeing Olympians (H669 BNL and H674 BNL) but they're the only ones I can think of

I suppose there's T728 OEF as well, which is listed as being new to Cleveland Transit according to buslistsontheweb, has a North East registration, and from what I can see was based in the North East until 2014, but is currently based with MP Travel in Warrington and, to add to to the confusion,  is branded for Hull routes 1 and 2.

728 was new to Hull 1999, which at that time was under the Cleveland Transit opco.  In May 2001 it transferred to Sunderland, along with 9 others from the same batch, in exchange for 14 of Sunderland's ALX200 bodied low floor Darts.  Transit 728 became 525 in the Busways fleet before being renumbered back into the correct sequence as 22728.  27728 was withdrawn in February 2014, ousted by the first of the gas buses, and transferred to Stagecoach West Cumbria before being sold for preservation.

Best start saving up then! Smile Buses are usually only preserved when a private individual is willing to stick their hand in their pocket and do it.

Busways' first ALX300s were S reg for MANs and R reg for the Volvo B10BLE batch
