Volvo B9TL 6101/03/06/08/11 now in service - so just one further B9TL since yesterday.
I believe no further cascades have taken place yet.

6101 is the latest i believe got a photo today near where the big issue guy is he has his famous line "Buy a Big Issue please, Have a nice day"

It certainly is. Still surprised that no cascades are happening, although they would probably happen at the weekend.

If anyone is planning on getting a photo of an Omnicity on the 50, I would check that they are in service before you travel.
I was in Chester le Street today and noted the full PVR for the 50 with no sign of an Omnicity. I asked a driver that was on duty yesterday and he said that no Omnicity had been out on the 50. I showed him the photo and he is of the opinion that it is an NIS vehicle that has had its destination display set up for the photo hence no passengers on board and wrong bus stand.
I am not challenging the authenticity of the photo but passing on information that might save someone a wasted journey.

The one thing that did jump out, is how far it is parked up the street - compared to where the 50 actually stops...
Obviously on reading your comments, you have pointed this out.

I have just been sent a photograph (poor mobile phone quality shot) of 5258 on the 265, so it has been out in service today... This working is operated by Chester-le-Street depot.

Speaking of the 50, did they ever get round to fixing the Arniston Centre mistake? I've also noticed that despite the 'Cobalt Clipper' getting extra destinations added to the display, the 310 still reads Meadowell rather than Meadow Well.

Is it not something as simple as them testing the blind? Hence been out of service but blinded up for the 50. I have no idea, however there doesn't appear to be a driver there.

Why would they go to all that trouble taking it out of the depot to the town centre to test its blind? Im sure that this would of also confused passengers.

Well no but it was clearly parked (apparently not in service) on Chester front street for some unknown reason, unless we are now suggesting Poundland has been photoshopped too now.
Dan has confirmed 5258 has been in service has been in service tonight. So is it not possible that it did like 1 run? Breakdown cover? Or just the wrong blind set? I don't know I just think photoshopping photos is sad and can't believe someone has apparently done so.

To add to the debate about 5258...

It is entirely possible, if the vehicle was not in service, that the destination displays were being configured in the depot and an engineer has used said vehicle as transport down to Front St to see what the problem is with another vehicle. The engineer could have forgotten (or been unaware, if someone else usually configures the destinations) that '50 SOUTH SHIELDS' (or whatever the terminus was) was on the display.

Just to confirm, 5258 was not in service yesterday.

Looks 100% legit to me. You can see the reflection of the middle island and also Poundland right through the bus. One hell of a photoshop ninja if that's fake.

Its was NOT in service.... it was parked there for driver familerisation. Drivers were playing with the blind thats why it had 50 on

Would also think all of the last B9's would be out in service by end of the week, so hopefully by next week so all the SPD are finally gone.
