RE: Destination Display
Rear destination displays are now showing the service number and destination then flicking to show the service number and" Ride this bus for £2" .
While the front " Not in Service " display shows ." not in service " then changes to" ride this bus for £2 " then " under 22s travel for £1.
RE: Destination Display
This has been mentioned before, but wondered if it could be mentioned to whoever it concerned ( via Dan) the possibility of updating the destination displays for the services 2 , 2A & 60
2 & 2A to show maybe 2 Washington via Grangetown & City Centre. via Harraton & Lambton then on return journey to show Silksworth via Lambton and Harraton. via Sunderland and Grangetown
2A Washington via Leechmere & City Centre, via Barnwell & Biddick. And return to show Silksworth via Biddick and Barnwell. via Sunderland and Leechmere.
Service 60 to show Parkside via Ryhope & New Seaham, via Seaham Harbour & Dawdon then on return Sunderland via Dawdon and Seaham Harbour. via New Seaham & Ryhope.
Maybe Dan could pass on my suggestion.

Run that by us again? What are you changing? What do they currently say?

They currently only display 2 Washington via Sunderland and return journey 2 Silksworth via Sunderland.as does the 2A
And 60 Parkside via Seaham and return 60 Sunderland via Seaham.
I just thought that the 2 & 2A pass through quite a few places and nothing is displayed for customer benefit, when you have a short journey for example of the 24 which mentions Fulwell and Harton Nook.

6160 (new Sunderland Connect) still has number on the Offside (right)

Do you mean the numbers are on the left, instead of the right?

I totally agree really dull and as I have  mentioned this before they also should have more via points as they pass through quite a few places.

They will have to change it back as the £2 fare has been extended for another year

Not necessarily. as the £2 fare is staying , so can leave the current destination on as everyone will probably now be aware of the £2.

I saw someone thinking the 2 was coming the other day.
Turns out it wasn't the 2, but a 'candy cane' and it was NIS.

Yes I've mistook that candy cane for a number on the colour displays before.

I thought it was half a heart the first few times, like it had been programmed wrong and half cut off.

There are no stops between Gateshead and Market Street so services have their frequently displayed instead of a via (27, 56 and 58 have this as well).

It'd be better if it was kept on school buses and well away from frontline service making the display irrelevant.

I think they and the other ex London stock in corporate livery look a lot smarter than the likes of the Red Kite Ranger & Tyne Valley Ten liveries. The former especially.

Can't disagree with them 2 to be honest, both of them are pretty terrible I think. The clipart'esque images of phones etc, in particular.

There’s only that one (which is a non-standard size).
