Agreed with the way management have conducted themselves like - but if the driver feel that strongly they can move on i suppose. Im always threatening to leave my job but wont even theough im going to be paid just lest then a bus driver when they get there jan pay increase

I notice they've already removed the app tickets from the press release, and have stated that "App discount codes are unavailable at this time.". Yet more poor communication from GNE at the end(?) of this humiliating time for them.

Seems like someone hasn't exactly thought this through.

(01 Dec 2023, 9:18 pm)DeltaMan wrote Have they made this more complicated than it needs to be?
If the journeys are effectively free. Then surely all they need is a button on the ticket machine to record if it's an Adult or Child getting on.
Is the customer supposed to get on and still ask for a single ticket??

Also get a day ticket then theyre free, or even a GNE return

Several shared corridors between GNE & Arriva/Stagecoach, but especially given that the 306/307/308/309 are covered by a 'legally binding agreement', provisions should also be made for Arriva Northumbria!

(02 Dec 2023, 8:39 am)L469 YVK wrote But then the QA is entirely pointless! Unless re-imbursed for loss of revenue by TNE/GNE, Arriva are going to lose revenue never mind drivers getting it in the neck when one bus every 10 minutes is free of charge, yet the other is full fare!

(02 Dec 2023, 8:54 am)RobinHood wrote From what I understand, Arriva aren't to happy about this either, given the agreement on mutual ticket acceptance in place protecting the 306/308.Hopefully they'll remember this, the next time they think about offering free travel to cover industrial action.
Of course, GNE can do what they want on their own network in terms of fares, but I think the mutual ticket acceptance document takes precedent in this case, as this is clear distortion of the market.
Ben and Nigel alienating their fellow colleagues within other companies at the same time as their staff and passengers, just when you thought it couldn't get any lower.
