When I was on the 27 yesterday going Heworth there was a ToonLink Renown in Gateshead Depot.

Could do me a favour and give the Fleet Numbers of the Ex Crusader Renowns and there branding, as I know a few are Northern, others are the Wear Tees Xpress. But I have zero idea which ones are what brand. so I can update my fleet list.

The help would be greatly appreciated.

according to Richard Tiplady he said that 4840 is now Northern i still dont know why 4842/4843 are heading to Toon Link i thought they were going into Northern livery 4845 and 4846 i think should go to Deptford ive had enough of these on my beloved 27 or back to where they came from at Stanley
RE: Go North East
One of the PRG vehicles is/has been based at Chester le Street. It has been on the 71 and local scholars services this week and is still burgundy

I think it'll be because the 11 is going to Blackhall Mill instead of Prudhoe. I've been looking at the current and the new timetable and the new 11 is 15 minutes longer than the current 11. I believe that would justify one of the newly branded Renowns but not sure about the other. Perhaps it's just there as a spare.
RE: Go North East
(21 Mar 2013, 7:04 pm)Michael wrote Is the PVR changing for toonlink, dont see y they need more buses

At current, the 11 31/32 and 47 all interwork requring 12 buses. From Monday, only the 31/32 will interwork with each other. 4 buses will be needed on both the 11 and 47 while the 31/32 needs 5. So they need at least one extra branded bus.

RE: Go North East
Apologies for being quiet. Same reason as ever, with a few added extras which I shan't share.

I've added a few things to my Go North East: "Buses By Brand" collection. As a reminder, once completed, this will act as an 'interactive fleetlist'. Until then, it's a matter of progress and updating.
It should be noted that, as a result of the very fluid repaints, vehicle transfers etc, some sets may be outdated.
These will be updated in due course - I am just waiting to grab a few extra minutes when I can.

Photos added as of March 16th:
- "Angel" 6067
- "Northern" 3885
- "Pronto" 6021
- "OK Expressway" 5232
- "OK Way" 571 [Replacement]
- "OK Way" 572
- "East Durham" 536
- "East Durham" 543 [Replacement]
- "East Durham" 574
- "East Durham" 510
- "Tyne Tees Xpress" 6043
- "Silver Arrows" 5320
- "Silver Arrows" 5326

"The OK Way" set and "Tyne Tees Xpress" set now completed. As ever, photos are subject to be replaced in these sets. It will be noted in an update if a replacement photo has been put in place. These will occur if a photo is better or if it is on the appropriately branded service.

Many thanks everyone. I should provide a further update over the course of this weekend, when I am out once more taking photos. Smile

to be honest i thought they would keep the original reg plate last time a bus was re-registered before arrival was the 3962/63/64/65 in the days when 724 existed and was new to Chester-le-Street depot correct me if i am wrong then all 4 went to Gateshead for X9/X10 then they got new vehicles so all 7 went 1 at Washington 1 Hexham 1 Winlaton 2 remained at Gateshead while the other 2 returned to Chester-le-Street back in its former livery but different colour Gary Mitchellhill might know further details

RE: Go North East
To ease speculation, 4944 is definitely still with Chester-le-Street. Just left Park Lane 10 mins ago or so on a 78.
RE: Go North East
What speculation? Its a replacement for 4988, which has been withdrawn but 4944 has been used down Crook lately

There has been no speculation on this website, but on other websites, there has been plenty. As with everything, photo evidence needs to provided before anything is solid.
Indeed it has been used with Crook lately, mainly covering for an "OK Expressway" Scania. I made a note of that and the reason for its allocation from CLS when it first occurred as I was out when it happened, but since then, rumours have been passed around suggesting that that its new home is Crook, and that it could possibly be getting moved (or has already moved) to Gateshead as a result of further Renown displacement.
In reality, no. CLS still. As you said, replacement for 4988 which we made a note of before it moved.
RE: Go North East
Quote Lee Paul Wardle on Bazza Houstons Group.

Scania Omnicity 5243/4/5/6 to be branded for service 19. From what I gather called "Connect Cobalt". Leaving 5274 8 9 74 for service 9. 8238 and 8240 are the 2 SPD's moving out tommorow with 8239 staying due it's tow bar.

5164/5 moving at the weekend to Percy Main, replacing 8238/40 to replace older SPD elsewhere. Hence further buses required for the 19.

RE: Go North East
i think Go North East should do a consultation of Jarrow area 9 increased every 20 mins 5 better vehicles, 88/88A to operate same route 27 to operate 2 routes 27/27A both running via Hebburn Town Centre except one can do normal 27 route the other running via victoria road and another route running every 20 but 10 mins combined could be added along there to replace 88 something like a local route replacing 515 heworth via old 88 route just to maintain a link and extending to Jarrow using 2 buses

You may perhaps see some service changes in Hebburn sometime this year. Late last year 1000's of residents in South Tyneside were given a bus consultation - coordinated by Nexus on behalf of the South Tyneside Partnership together with local bus operators.

As of November 2012 -

"Jim Grady, NEXUS provided the CAF with an update advising that the bus survey had concluded in the area. All partners of the bus partnership would be looking at the results in preparation for the next partnership meeting in January.
Members welcomed the news and hoped the survey would result in the reintroduction of the 27a service, as the people in the Hebburn South Ward had suffered poor transport links following changes to services in the area."

As of January 2013 -

"There had been a good response from the public to the Hebburn bus survey. The survey results were being analysed. Nexus continued to work with providers to meet residents’ needs."

White Cadet 8266 was on the 58 late afternoon yesterday.

4950 was also out and about in Newcastle on Thursday, my photo of it on my Flickr was after I chased it back to Sunderland Road :L
