Awaiting for a new engine as it came to Redcar fucked

RE: Redcar depot
I've seen a few things suggesting 1573 is at Redcar to replace a possible withdrawn 4711. Anyone know if that's possibly true? And if that's the case, why is 1421 still at Stockton? Because at the moment, technically Redcar are down by 1 vehicle. Unless 1573 is currently replacing 1427 which is broke. Unsure on why the Lite is still at Redcar.
RE: Redcar depot
I know tracking isn't the most reliable around but have Redcar seriously already broke 7579* and 7581. Pretty impressive if so.
** Aware it tracked this morning but it seems to have been stuck at Guisborough for 12 minutes before stopping which generally meant it went no-where.
Edit (4pm):
Add 7580 to the list aswell now as that hasn't left Whitby and has been replaced by one of the DB300's which appears to be double tracking but that might just be a ticket machine swapover but whatever it is currently on a wild goosechase via Redcar depot.

I am told it was 1420.
7609 replaced by 1573 for the last few laps of the Park & Ride tonight. Knew it was too good to be true for those two to last a few days together!

Same with the transferred Pulsars from Stockton. Again the Temsas and the Centro still keeping the fleet operational. I wonder what has happened to 2857.

This isn't a great sign for the summer season. Surely arriva need to look at buses here and make a decision whether to invest in new fleet or bring in some long term loans in from somewhere
I know you get shouted out by some people for saying this but it's nothing new. The fact a bunch of Streetlites don't work at Redcar go to Stockton where they work like a rock for Pulsars which were like a rock there go to Redcar and are suddenly useless probably says where the problems are.
Not going to bash the place, but there's something wrong, engineering shortage maybe?

Just been out for a picture, definitely 1404.
Stockton are looking after Redcar’s engineering now of course but both depots are suffering engine failures quite often now as the fleet is all getting to the same age.
Trying to source engines for the Temsas is becoming all but impossible apparently, 4711 needs one… and 4720 is currently at Durham presumably for engine work to extend its life?
1427 is still waiting for an engine at Redcar, as is 1415 at Stockton

Wasn't there rumours a few months back that there was a replacement plan for the Temsas?
If we're honest Arriva would be absolutely screwed if it wasn't for the Pulsar, which at this point has to be up there as one of the best decisions they've ever made and also one of the best single decks ever produced.

Aren’t the Temsa replacements going to be from the North West when the Arriva depot is taken over by Bee Network?

I thought 4711 was withdrawn. Judging by the state of it. Surely it be cheaper to withdraw it snd keep 1404 in its place
RE: Redcar depot
Arriva has always had a policy, it seems, of buying a reasonably large number of new vehicles in one go, and then very little for a number of years. Then a bulk order again.
Which I guess gives them a better price for the buses, but the obvious downside that they end up with a lot of aging and nearing end of life at the same time and all the unreliability that brings with it.

RE: Redcar depot
Its only going to get worse with more vehicles but that's how it goes. Another thing I always say that it isn't even the Temsas having the majority of the problems. It's the Pulsars. Even a fair few of the New E400 MMCs were out for a while a couple of days ago. Anyone also know why is 1421 still at Stockton when Redcar have like 3 of Stockton's vehicles? I imagine they're just throwing anything anywhere at the moment to get as many services covered as possible...
