They end up on the 50 more often than they should.

I don't think a 16 seater Sprinter would be much use on a service that busy.

Ticket machine swap, they don't get allocated to service now , as service 520 is operated by Gateshead Central, and service 79 has to be a solo as the contract needs Next stop announcement.

The 79 has no requirement to be operated by a bus with next stop announcements, the minimum capacity including standees was revised by Nexus to be 36 from contract renewal in May, and that is the reason why the Sprinters can no longer be allocated to this service.

I should hope the Sprinters on the staff shuttle is a temporary arrangement - as well as the poorer fuel economy compared to the Ford minibuses, they have high depreciation costs and really need some revenue coming in to pay for them.

Perhaps at Hexham as part of the re-launch of their services with new route branding, so that the two non-standard Solos 721 and 723 can be withdrawn?

X1 & 25 both ran by Washington.  Not sure if there's any random peak workings from elsewhere though.

I think Dan may have mentioned previously that the long term aspiration was for the 25/28/29 to run from Riverside, but with the number of drivers opting to transfer to Washington they had to move there.

A more switched on bright spark than the one that put a Connections4 Citaro on the X1 yesterday (turned at Gateshead to avoid a CAZ fine).

Venture 645 has been on XLINES X5/X15 - Premium offering.

643 spent half a day on their yesterday.

Money spent on marketing campaigns but they don't have the product to back it up.

How is this going to 'get your bum onboard'

I would not give up my car to sit on an overcrowded minibus.
