Yeah cos it’s walkergates E200’s heading to Stockton as Slatyford need their E200’s for the 32/32A. 26291/293 came to Slatyford, Slatyford sent 27253/254 to Walkergate, Walkergate sent 37314/316 to Stockton and I’m guessing 37312/315 will be leaving Walkergate for Stockton, 26290/292 will go to Slatyford and 27251/252 will go to Walkergate.

(29 Aug 2024, 5:57 pm)N391OTY wrote Have just seen Stagecoach Bluebird 36331 heading along New Bridge Street in the direction of Walkergate depot. Could be just resting up for the night before continuing a journey south tomorrow, or could be transferred here. Will keep an eye out for it.

That’s not CAZ compliant so won’t be for Newcastle services so could potentially be heading to Stockton.

So what will Slatyford be gaining for their PVR increase?

Since Walkergate have already gained 6 additional E400MMCs I was under the impression 3 were for the increased  PVR on the 1 and the other 3 would replace the E200s allowing Slatyford to gain 3 E200MMCs for the increase on the 30/31/36

I’m not sure but with the extension to the X47 the new 49 and the increased service on 30/31/36 we definitely need more buses there’s no way we have enough

Could it not be that Walkergate, in addition to the extra 1 boards, regain 3 62/63 boards from Slatyford allowing Slatyford to have breathing room to have the staff for the extra work?

Huh. I thought it'd be going for scrap. It was in a right state when getting loaded onto the Alpha truck.

Didn’t think of that, yeah I believe Walkergate are getting some 62/63’s back including the early 5:45 one from chillingham road to killingworth. That will free up some buses for the X47 and 49.

Someone somewhere must have a picture!!!

Cheers for that.  Is it for service or spares?

But it appears the originally released fleetnumbers for Sunderland's are now not for Sunderland - the one at Sunderland is 73034 (YK74 PKF) which is for Nuneaton depot. Sunderland's are now due to be numbered 73057-76 - which was apparently always the intended plan (despite the Midlands examples being ZEBRA2 funded and therefore weren't on order when the original list was released at the beginning of the year).

Why is it at Sunderland?
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
Seen loads of discussion about singles at Walkergate, but does anyone know what they're meant to be actually on? I assume there must be certain routes which are allocated them similar to routes at Blyth with Arriva.

The allocations always seem a bit random bar the X63 which seem to be consistently singles most days now.

Usually only the 12/22 I think? Rarely see them on anything else.

Tend to be a mixture of 12/22/37/38/X63.  Suspect it is certain boards on each rather than an allocation to a single service (even on paper), though it's a while since I've seen an official fleetcard which would confirm.

Does this mean Sunderlands electric buses, are now delayed?

Yeah what I thought it was, it used to be always the 12/22 but there definitely seems to be boards on the 37/38/X63 aswell now, it appeared to change around 2 weeks ago.

Was looking through BusTimes, cavaets and all that, but couldn't really see any pattern - it just looks completely random.

Arriva Blyth is much the same lately and it's not from regulation either.

(01 Sep 2024, 3:21 pm)stagecoachfan wrote Why is it at Sunderland?

Every now and again Yutong come through the Port of Tyne at Tyne Dock. Hence why there has been times Yutong vehicles for other operators have been seen at Go North East's Riverside depot receiving a top up charge before they are driven down to Pelican in Yorkshire for their pre-delivery inspection. The one at Sunderland could be there for charging (might be unlikely since the charging stuff isn't installed unless they've been given enough to charge a single vehicle) or it has just popped in for the management and engineering to have a look at.

With how quickly Yutong build their buses, I think Stagecoach have shuffled around the delivery order so vehicles aren't sitting waiting ages to enter service whilst charging equipment is installed.

Red and cream livery? Any idea what services it will be allocated to? Would I see it at Middlesbrough on the 1 or 36? Durham on the 59? Or will it be on the 3, 6, 7, 20 in Hartlepool itself and not venture out that far?

Yeah, all boards state double decker but anything that doesn't pick up schoolkids will be randomly allocated a decker or single.
