It was standing behind 7461, I was waiting to cross over to get a pic of 7461 when I heard a loud scraping noise much louder than normal when a bus scrapes the kerb and when I crossed over the driver was picking up the bits!! the other bus was a pulsar possibly 1465 or 1468
there was a similar situation earlier but without the same result when a few buses had to negotiate a line of 3 parked at the setting down stop. Pic of 7461 with 6016 standing behind

I'm incredibly tired so may be way off the mark with my interpretation of that letter, but are they not retaining all three with one service being extended at an additional cost?

I interpreted it that one is staying - with the 923 seemingly replaced by a taxi service.

Indeed it was the mention of the taxi service in Peterlee and Thornaby which made me wonder, but I just didn't get the impression of services being withdrawn due to the additional cost and mention of one service being extended.
Rapidsnap   24 Feb 2014, 11:01 pm
All 3 services are contracted to 2015 with one service presumely a combination of the 921/922 being retained thereafter.

Rapidsnap   25 Feb 2014, 1:26 am
The only other non Angel branded routes that the Hybrids run on (abeilt scheduled to) are the N20 and the X21.

Surely they will re-register another bus as '340 GUP' and sell 4840 under its original registration.

340GUP was 4840's original plate. It would need a new mark allocating. 4840 was from a period when dvla wee not issuing a lot of numbers.

Really? I thought discussions said that it was taken from an old OK Travel coach (previously Diamond Bus Company???) therefore I doubt that it is its original plate.

In reality, 8220 never made it to Riverside - it was withdrawn prior to Winlaton's closure (see photo here) and has been sitting at the back of Hexham depot prior to disposal for about a month now (as shown here).

All four B9TLs did indeed enter service today, much to my surprise... Not often Fleet Allocation gets it right on-time!

I've not yet downloaded the updated documents - is 5331 shown as branded "Blaydon Racers" or just plain red? If not, there's this week's fault! 5333 has not yet entered service, while 5336 is still at Saltmeadows. 5334 was still at Deptford earlier today. 5335/37 are still Percy Main-based (with 5335 being out in service today, not sure about 5337 though), so that is correct.

5256 was still at Percy Main this morning, but will try and get an update to check if it is to depart for CLS today.

634 will be the Solo SR for the 29, which was originally 625.

Thought so, when R838PRG said that it was its original registration it kind of confused me as I knew it had been worn by a different bus/buses in the past.

Cheers for the info.

I expect the enthusiasts and preservationists amongst Go North East management will try and get 340GUP onto another vehicle then.

Should just be a case of buying a new reg for 4840, and then they're free to reallocate 340GUP to another vehicle.
