33488 was withdrawn from service around 2 Weeks ago with a Broken Chassis, so I guess they are getting what they can from it.

There are only a few left of the type now

33101/33492 - at South Shields (Reserve Fleet)
33491 - at Hartlepool (Reserve Fleet)

(13 Mar 2014, 7:32 am)mrnut85 Does anyone know what fleet numbers the new E200 will receive that are for South Shields

I am not aware of any New E200s going to South Shields this year, the only thing lined up for the Busways Group are the Outstanding 23 Scania GAS buses, due for delivery in May.

Richard, it's already been posted on here thanks to big mouth....I mean tyresmoke

(06 Mar 2014, 9:25 am)tyresmoke Certainly being spread around the drivers now that Stockton are getting 25 ADL Enviro 300 for the 36/37/38 group of services. This should enable 25 ALX300s to be withdrawn, with the MAN E300s expected to be cascaded onto Middlesbrough based services 11/12/14/34

As for E200s for South Shields, may I draw attention to this:

(06 Mar 2014, 8:17 pm)Dan In addition to the gas buses, they are the only other buses coming to the North East via direct investment. Other buses could still make their way to the North East fleet by cascades from other regions though, as the North West is certainly expecting quite a number of vehicles...

If these E200s are to replace 33101/492, I think the vehicles won't be new and probably won't be E200s Wink

These E200 for South Shields are very much brand new as they will be 37XXX and will most likely have short N/S mirror arms (as will the E300 for Teesside)

33101/33492 are reserve vehicles so not part of the allocation. The new buses are to displace 2 of the MAN ALX300.

I have been meaning to ask for ages - but can anyone explain why the headlights on the SNE 100, are different to the headlights on other Enviro 300's?
Were these batch specifically designed to be different, or has it just happened by default with the branding?
