Arriva have confirmed that from 6/4/14 fares are to go up.

Adult Single fares are to go up by 10p
Adult Day Savers (North West area) will go up by 20p so they will now cost £5
Adult Weekly Tickets (North West area) will go up by 50p so they will now cost £19.50!

These prices are a joke when services are being lost and cut left, right and centre!! I also have to laugh at the fact am yet to see a notice on a Bus about it...

The ML1 gets virtually anything on it these days, there's been Pulsar's on it quite regular these days

One of the buses would actually be SR 700 but since their a Stockport Metroshuttle Solo short at the moment after it broke down while a friend of mine was driving it 700 is deputising daily for it on 300 until the normal Solo is repaired.

Saturday was fun on 10s as apart from the normal allocation of Hybrids the following were also out on 10s:

From what I was told by one of the Bolton Inspectors at least one of the above was covering for a broken down Hybrid and I think he said it was 4180 the President.

I wouldn't say ignore Michael Tinker, as he says he gets uptodate info on bus movement from various operators which is quite valuable and corrects anything I might have got wrong as I only go off sightings and what I'm told by various people (I don't make things up).

the main thing thats doing my headin over it is a lot of services have been cut (like the 16 in Manchester) whereas other people are left with a less reqular service (like Egerton in Bolton) and a lot of places in St Helens dont even have a evening and Sunday service!

The situation in St Helens has been like this since Arriva's changes of 2006 when there was a major network revision and most town routes were renumbered into the 30's.

Major work on Cheale High Street start after the evening peak on 4 April and will last until 22 April with bus diversions in place:

11/11A - Towards Altrincham - Normal route towards Cheadle Village - Manchester Road - Kingsway - Gatley Road - normal route

X57 - Towards Cheadle Hulme - Normal route to East Didsbury - Kingsway - Gatley Road - Wilmslow Road - normal route

309 - Not affected

310 - Service will be operating the route in reverse - Councillor Lane - Demmings Road - Queens Road - Cheadle Road/Wilmslow Road - High Street - Councillor Lane - normal route from Demmings Road

312 - Towards Handforth Dean - Normal route to Manchester Road in Cheadle - Manchester Road - Kingsway - Gatley Road - Wilmslow Road - normal route

Drivers will be observing all stops on the diversion where it is safe to do so.

The road is expected to open on 22nd April.
