Looking at the timetable it's out of date already 39 Doxford clipper and x36 red arrows!!! Totally Wrong info

The one where the 3, 4 and 23 stop is still in old style.

Opposite for buses heading to Durham, Hartlepool, Plains Farm - has the new style - http://liners.nexus.org.uk/24275.pdf

I do wonder why they have done some and not all of them at the same time, when the bus stops is next to each other

Journey times is useless, totally false information also the timings for service 20 aren't correct. 20/20A run so they providing exactly every 10 minutes. 45/46 stuff is also ridiculous there is no difference in journey times. I don't even like the layout of the timetables either.
I prefer County Durham's way of displaying the bus times, the nexus' ones just confuse me! The long list of bus times in order is pretty easy to read really or even the County Durham style block timetable is better than nexus' latest attempt.

What do you find confusing about the current Nexus style?

Fairly simple. Bus number and then times or in some cases - like the 21 - some services say 'and a frequent service every 7 minutes until xx xx -

Nexus don't seem to use the digital time displays on the 21 route, just about all of them have been displaying 'see timetable' for months now

I just find them hard to understand after years of looking at Co. Durham timetables.

Yes, I was very much the same on experiencing the different timetable format in County Durham for the first time too - I was in favour of Nexus' bus stop timetables due to the fact it was larger, clearer, and included the estimated journey times.

I think it's all down to where your from and based - as I spend most of my time in County Durham obviously I'm more used to their timetables. I can understand Nexus' timetables - I just don't think they're as easy for me as County Durham's.

To be honest i have to agree with you there. A list with all the buses from the stops are much easier to read rather than looking into a box and working out 15 mins after every time to get to the bus that you want. A lot faster and easier. Just my opinion though. Everybody is entitled to their own Tongue

Aside the obvious reason that they are incompetent

Does anyone know why the digital signage is seemingly out of use outside Nexus bus stations

I like the DCC bus stop information as it gives you the list of services in order when you arrive at the bus stop.

The original PTE bus stop timetables were too small, but their got better over time.

I still remember when the DCC area bus stop timetable displays were just Go ahead Northern or United bus timetables that have been put on under the plastic display.

Most of the QuayLink ones (except Gateshead and Haymarket) appear to display "see timetable" or nothing at all. I've not seen the ones on Durham Road recently, but I'll assume it's the same story. Last time I checked, one at the QE Hospital was working, but that's about it when it comes to displays outside bus stations.

The displays in Rowlands Gill 'work', however they only display times for services 45 and 46 and I'm not 100% sure whether the information is accurate. If you need to know the times of any other services which pass through the Gill (47, R3, R4, R5, R6), then you need to go to the bus-stop and look at the timetable.

I must admit that I like how DCC bus-stop information is formatted for this specific reason although I think both DCC and Nexus bus-stop timetables are pretty easy to understand.

According to the NEXUS liners on their site... the timetables on my road have being updated in to the new style, this will be due to the changes to the 5/5A in Sunderland today.

Battle hill/hadrian park have them as does shiremoor,also in regards to errors,i had to report to nexus about incorrect flags regarding arriva service 52 between cradlewell and northumbria university,thats why the stickers now say 51/52,smart and effective but crafty at the same time,also has anyone notices that some of them are backwardly numbered

Think they are numbered according the first number of each service ie:

1 10 100
166 62 78

Services starting with 1, then 2 etc.

Time at Houghton-le-Spring bus board is wrong (off by 30 mins or so), and they can't spell 'South Shields' either.

They have been like that since last week.
Thought I had got there earlier than I actually did.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to report it - not sure if anyone else has, so whether Nexus are aware, is another thing.
