Hopefully should be interesting in the next few days/weeks with at least one Omnicity VOR!
Can't wait to take my pick out of the Jesmond pot tomorrow...

Over the day I saw: 4523, 4653, 4662, 4664 and two Pulsars.

One from yesterday saw Redcar using Pulsar 1430 on the X3, amazingly!

7627 and another unidentified decker on Durham 64's today.
Presumably an alx400 or Pulsar on the x1/x2 to cover 7627.

Aye, it looked like an ELC body, so it was probably that I saw.

There's no way that the Max spec buses will be kept on the X10 and X11!

I'm not saying I can see in to the future or anything, but they aren't actually branded yet so surely it doesn't matter where they are for now?

I disagree.

The seats all have the "MAX" name engraved into them, and the specification of the "MAX" brand remains the same - regardless of if they're actually branded or not.

I guess you could almost suggest it's like 7601 - the Quorum Express Gemini. It was given a full repaint following accident damage and hasn't been re-branded yet (as far as I know) - does this mean that it shouldn't be allocated to the Quorum Express?

The service is being marketed as an upgraded express brand. Brands lose value when misused.

What's unusual about that?! Or were you being sarcastic??!

I was on a (hybrid) 308 on Wednesday. He was a FEW minutes late into Blyth and as it turned right into the bus station an inspector waved to him and spoke to him. Another bus was ready to depart the stand. Anyway, the hybrid went out on I think it was the X4. Later the same thing happened, so it looks like they are more bothered about the services running to time than the right allocation of vwhicles (I can see the argument both ways).

From the "amazingly!" part of that post I assume sarcasm, also the fact that Pulsars should be allocated to the X3 though never seem to end up there and finally because Scott knows his stuff!

Really i cant see the point of branding routes if the buses are going to appear off route all the time. Services like Arriva Sapphires 7 seems to be coping well with only 2 odd workings reported on here since they entered service which shows that Darlington are using them as a last resort if nothing else can be found to cover. Why Blyth cant do that i dont know. Seems to be the Arriva version of Riverside Tongue

Yes I misesd my X10 from Newcastle the other night. There was no X9/X10 branded bus or plain red one in so I didn't bother going in the bus station then a Ten branded decjker reveresd and I saw it was my X10!

Actually, I was led to believe that Redcar had a little allocation shuflle in which the X3 allocation changed to full Pulsar operation and the 81/81A to full Omnicity operation in order to make sure that the 63 was full Temsa Avenue operation. However Redcar being Redcar has seen utterly random allocations on the X3/X3A and 22/64/64A and to some extent the 63 and 81/81A as well. The only route that Redcar actually care about the allocation of is the X4/4.
