RE: Arriva North East - Latest
It was me who brought the 43 up cus i think arriva have made a mistake,it says branded vehicles for 46 52 and 53 but think its supposed to say 553 but there is a 53,but tom seems to think the 43 doesnt interwork at cramlington with the 52/53 when it does, all i asked if it was now gonna interwork with the 46 instead of the 43
RE: Arriva North East - Latest
Right im not gonna tell you again, yes the 43,44,45 work with each other, but the 52/53 have to be provided buses from somewhere which is the 43 think about 52/53 every 15 mins from killingworth-cramlington its the only one that fits, and since you think your right how is it 4511 was on the 43 then a little while later came back down to dudley as the 52,im gonna go to a different thread now cus your annoying me

Well I'm telling you now for a fact they do not interwork.

It goes like this:

43/44/45 -
43 1103 Newcastle to Cramlington 1137
43 1143 Cramlington to Newcastle 1217
45 1225 Newcastle to Dinnington 1253
45 1257 Dinnington to Newcastle 1325
Then back to 43s, the other ones (18/48 mins past) interwork with the 44.

52/53 -
52 1100 Newcastle to Cramlington 1148
53 1153 Cramlington to North Shields 1254
53 1301 North Shields to Cramlington 1402
52 1407 Cramlington to Newcastle 1455

What are the passenger numbers like on the 23/24 lately, more between Sunderland & Peterlee.

As the 23 is getting Streetlites, will it be a worthy investment?

When I was in Sunderland two or three weeks ago, I saw the 23 twice, and 24 once. I'd say the 24 was more worthy of investment than the 23, but I've only saw it leaving Sunderland so passenger numbers may be higher on other sections of the route. The 22 seems the busiest out of the Peterlee corridor though.

Thanks, i'm never on the 23 or 24, as i can't use my pass on them so i'm never sure of passenger numbers.

In other news, two more Sapphire Streetlites have turned up at Jesmond this morning, these being 1550 and 1553 (NK14GGE).

1551 has also arrived at Jesmond depot. (Photo @ Steven Hodgson)

1712 has been parked up in the corner of Faverdale depot all week, so I don't think it has seen service yet.

Indeed, I am told 1711 has transferred down to Darlington as a replacement...

(07 Jul 2014, 8:22 am)AdamY wrote I wonder what route service 46 will take to the RVI and the CAV if it is serving Haymarket in both directions?

Presumably, it'll be Claremont Road, Hunters Road and Brighton Grove as getting into Haymarket from St Thomas Street, although do-able, might prove to be a little awkward.

From Haymarket to the RVI is via St Thomas Street, inbound is via Queen Victoria Road, B1318 and Barras Bridge.

Also by Robert is photos of 7526 and 7628 (7626 below) which confirms that the Ashington E400s do not have front white LED destination screens like the StreetLites.

I wonder if they'll have coloured number destination screens, similar to what GNE use? It's a bit disappointing they haven't gone for the white ones.

On the subject of destination screens. Did ANE trial green LED ones at some point? I can vaguely recall seeing some in Durham Bus Station years ago.

They did - 4646 was fitted with green Brightech screens all round until early 2012.

Yes 4646 got a trial green one as a trial for Hanover (I believe!)

See above photo - don't think that happens with Hanover.

I seem to remember 4645 been fitted with one as well? It got removed before 4646s however. I may be wrong there.

Cant have been 4645 as its an Ex-Liverpool Airport bus, i am sure another omnicity had a brightech destination though.
