Anyone got the ID of the Olympian on A1 duties lastnight? Was in the Passion/Illusions smoking area when I saw it.

That's because it is based at Deptford (albeit on temporary loan due to vehicles being absent for the Glasgow Games) - I shall update our fleet list with details, given that I think one or two more movements have happened since my original post about the Tridents being on loan.

(25 Jul 2014, 8:11 am)Dan wrote I am told that Dennis Trident 3874 has transferred from Deptford to Washington, allowing similar 3803 to be transferred back to Percy Main.

There was an Dennis Trident parked up around the back of Washington Depot, Not sure whether this was 3874 or 3803, makes me wonder whether 3874 has gone for Repaint or if 3803 is yet to return to Percy Main.

50's were running in 2's heading towards Durham, noted 5258 and 5260 within Minutes of eachother at The Galleries, between 14:30 and 15:00, Also Connections 4 Citaro 5366 has developed the same fault as the FAB56 B9's, where the Number is Orange, The others were fine.
RE: Go North East - Latest
Arriva 685 service towards Newcastle was withdrawn from service at Hexham today at 15:30 due to illness of a passenger.
Go North East allowed the other passengers to continue their journeys on their 15:48 X85 - which was standing room only when it arrived at Corbridge where a load of passenger were waiting for both the Arriva 685 and the GNE X85 so it would be full for the rest of the journey to Newcastle.

Dennis Trident 3874 was transferred from Percy Main to Deptford, to cover for vehicles which are at Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games.

It was seemingly not required at Deptford, so it was transferred to Washington, which released similar 3803 back to Percy Main). As 3874 was due to be repainted, Dennis Trident 3860 transferred from Percy Main to Washington, replacing 3874.

Rather long way round of doing it, one could say.

Our fleet lists have now been updated. The 21 vehicles at Glasgow have had their depot updated to read 'First Glasgow' as can be seen here.

The Dennis Tridents on loan from Percy Main (3858/59/60 and 3870/71/74) have all been updated to reflect the depot which they were last allocated to. I'm not sure whether 3874 will end up going back to Washington, Deptford or Percy Main.

Definitely the long way of doing things, guess GNE don't doing thing the easy way, thanks for clearing that up Dan. To be honest I would like Washington to keep some of the Dennis Tridents, as I despise the Ex London B7TL's with a Passion.

...and as 4935 was running a whopping six minutes early, I didn't manage to get a photograph.

Nice e-mail being drafted to Customer Services now.

Would GNE charge an invoice to Arriva for that or as a gesture of goodwill.

Just a random add-on to that statement, seeing as threads have been made about GNE's Service X21, ANE's Service X93 - just a suggestion to the mods, would it not be worth merging them all into something like a 'Controversial Services' thread, just so they don't all 'fall down the leader-board', if you know what I mean?

Morning trips are packed, with standees being quite frequent. During the day, it seems that it performs quite well. Most seats full. Then you hit about 17:00... And there's pretty much empty buses.

What about the 9 and 29?

Used it a few times and on the trips I have been on, the majority of passengers seemed to use it as a home -> Sunderland shopping -> home again service.
School kids used it to go a few stops around the corner.

There will be exceptions, but can only speak as I find.

That service seems to get a few mentions and very rarely from me! Big Grin

Wonder whatever happened to robisdave?
He seemed very passionate about the service and then vanished.

(26 Jul 2014, 5:38 pm)Tom wrote What about the 9 and 29?

The 9 has no set number of passenger numbers, and that's probably down to the fact Percy Main's runs turn up whenever they like.
If one of them is 10 minutes late, the one behind it carries air.

I had to stand on the dual door B10 today (with quite a few others), and had to do so the other evening too. That said, on the opposite side of the road, there was a Solo SR which was pretty much empty...

The 29 has been performing quite well on the North Sunderland side. Never use it on the Doxford Park section, so I don't know about that one.
