Whichever one runs between TVTE and Metrocentre or Metrocentre and Chester. Will work out more cost-effective

Don't think I ever manage to do a post without editing something on it afterwards - I just try and do it before anyone clicks 'Quote'!

I didn't look at the timetable, just knew what would be happening.

Won't this effect the inter working with the 95 then?
I don't know how the X22 even remains operating as it's always empty!

I've got to disagree with you there - the 9:55 departure from Chester is always empty, but the 10:55 is always packed with kids going to the Metrocentre, as is the 11:55. After that it's always a bit hazy, sometimes it's a bit busy. The last X22 back to Chester is always packed with them coming back.

Does it and the 14 take in many cash fares though?

Yes - loads! Tongue

Most of the kids who use it to the Metrocentre hand over £20 notes for a return!

As for the 14, I wouldn't say so.

Oh right wasn't aware it made that much!
Maybe it keeps the 14 going.

I guess the interworking has an effect, yes.

Trust me, I wouldn't blame you for thinking the X22 makes nothing - it all depends what time of the day you're on it. If it's about 1:00, you'd think you were on the old 65! If it's 11:25, and you're getting off at the Metrocentre - it's every man for himself, you'd think you were on a scholars service!

Yeah - the X22 departing Metrocentre on Saturdays at 1520 is always busy.

Changes to more school buses will be happening for St Bedes Lanchester. Most will just be variations bar the 830 which will be cancelled. X31 will also be varied to serve the school on a morning aswell as the afternoon.

Hopefully they can provide additional capacity on this one, as A-LINE's E200 seemed to be quite full in Newcastle the other morning...

I'd imagine it will assist with the withdrawal of the last Volvo Olympians in the fleet - so at a guess, I think the contracts which they've lost would have mostly been lost by choice rather than because a competitor has had a better bid.
